On September 12th 2023, Alien Worlds released 10 new tool NFT's as part of the Series 2 Emergence collection into their Outpost. Take a look at their announcement here.
Some important points to note about this set;
- Shining has a much more significant improvement to these tools, with the stat gains around 15-25% with each grade of shining.
- You'll recall that Shining is the process of blending four duplicate NFT's to upgrade both the appearance and power of the tool.
- Each successive upgrade has lower mintages.
- Shining costs TLM as well as burning the blended NFT's.

- Series 2 Emergence collection NFT's come in 3 grades of shines: Stone, Gold, and Stardust.

- Series 2 Emergence collection NFT's are purchased from the Outpost using Shards which is the new name for "NFT Points".
- Shards are earned during mining actions and used to buy in-game items or participate in governance actions in the game.
Below I've placed the new NFT tools side-by-side with their predecessors or siblings so as to make it easier to decide if they should be part of your Alien Worlds mining set up.
I hope this helps you decide how to spend your Shards and whether it's worth changing up your Mining rigs to focus on TLM mining, Shard harvesting or a balance of both.
I feel the Series 2 Emergence collection NFT's enhance the Alien Worlds experience and offer a way for players to earn rarer NFT's without necessarily spending WAX or fiat currency.
The launch of Series 2 is timely as the supply of Series 1 NFT's was almost fully released and these new tools keep the game accessible to new players.
Have fun playing Alien Worlds!
