Modern-day slavery manifests in various forms, including human trafficking, forced labor, and debt bondage, and even in many types of employment/jobs worldwide.

In many employment contracts, there are unlimited bonds signed by employers that have exploited employees for years without providing deserved salary and fringe benefits.

I worked as a 'bonded' technical staff (scientist) in DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India for almost eleven years.

I worked in private academia as a 'bonded' faculty member (professor) for over ten years.

By the word 'bonded,' I mean there was no real work to accomplish to support the vision and mission of the respective organizations. There was only regular praising employers that 'we are doing a great job' or 'we are the best college' sort of banal singing!

Now, a new era of slavery has started.

The super boss is the AI agent(s) adopted by business organizations, which are being utilized to dictate to employees to follow orders like obedient servants.

Now, there is one song almost everybody sings in social and professional media - 'AI is the best.'
