Learning is a Huge Investment

The desire for the unknown is eternal.

Starting from the ancient cave days in the jungle, humans always explored new things. Nothing could stop humans from discovering new techniques and methods to make life more enjoyable and comfortable.

The expeditions through the wild oceans were just a few pieces of evidence about the daredevil nature of the human species. Colombus, Vasco dagama, Amundsen are examples what humans can do to know the unknown.

The desire to learn something new still drives today's human race. The Internet and other modern technological gadgets make it easier to pursue learning.

Learning is a huge investment for the future.

Whether you agree or not, when you decide to learn a new subject, you make a huge investment in your future life.

As an investment asset grows and gives dividends, your learned knowledge will give many direct and indirect benefits to your future life.

The better you decide what to learn next, the better you get a return from your learning investment. The key element is to learn the most relevant subject that suits your experience and temperament.

Learning the right subject can help you achieve your goal.

  • Everybody has different goals in life and career.

It also depends on your career trajectory and what you want to achieve next.

  • The next level may vary from person to person. You must select the right new subject to learn. You are the right person to decide which subject to learn next.

Nobody can steal your learned knowledge asset!

  • Nobody can snatch away knowledge by force.

Knowledge only may get transferred if someone (a teacher) agrees to teach/help somebody (a student) learn new knowledge!

  • Learned knowledge asset is stealing-proof.

If you don't want to share a piece of knowledge by teaching it to others, nobody can forcefully steal your learned knowledge asset.

Some tips in choosing the right subject you may need to learn.

  • Be clear about your goals and areas of current focus.

Be specific about which subject is most important now.
Remember, if everything is important, then nothing is.

  • Be open and honest with yourself.

Connection with your inner self is crucial.
Prepare to be vulnerable to yourself.
When you are honest and transparent, you have more meaningful learning.

  • Be accountable to yourself.

After each learning session, capture what happened during the session.

What new insights have you got?
What actions have you decided to take?

Concluding remarks

Learning is inherent to life.

  • Make thoughtful decisions on your learning strategies.

  • What to learn is the key to making the maximum out of learning.

Consider learning as an essential investment for future life.

  • Learning is a natural habit that should never stop.

Nobody can forcefully steal your learned knowledge asset.
