Is Bitcoin headed for historic highs? Analysts' opinions

By Albertocrypto | Cripto tips | 15 Sep 2025

Bitcoin is experiencing a fairly volatile September. The world's most popular cryptocurrency was trading near $116,000 on Friday the 12th. Given this scenario, investor optimism returned to the scene, and the biggest names in the financial industry were quick to release their most ambitious forecasts.

Daily trading volume also rose sharply, surpassing $54 billion. This surge came from institutional funds that, after months of caution, decided to re-enter the market.

The Future of Bitcoin According to Crypto Gurus

By 2026, the most widely followed analysts had already begun to put concrete figures on the table. Tom Lee of Fundstrat stated in an interview on CNBC that Bitcoin could easily reach $200,000 before the end of the year.

Galaxy's Mike Novogratz backed Lee's estimate, and even Peter Brandt, a veteran of technical analysis, agreed that a closing rally in 2025 could catapult the price toward that figure.

Looking ahead to 2028, Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, repeatedly stated that he saw $1 million per Bitcoin as feasible. His argument was simple: the US government would continue printing money and increasing debt, leaving alternative assets as the big winners.

Standard Chartered, more cautious but equally optimistic, spoke of $200,000 in 2025 and more than $500,000 in 2028. The next halving planned for that year further reinforced the bullish narrative.

When the outlook extended to 2030, the enthusiasm bordered on science fiction. Cathie Wood, head of ARK Invest, published her base case of $710,000, although she did not rule out Bitcoin reaching $1.5 million per unit.

Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, spoke of $1 million if regulation remained stable, while Jack Dorsey, founder of Block and former head of Twitter, insisted that figure was the minimum that could be expected.

Michael Saylor, of MicroStrategy and known for being a strong buyer of BTC, went even further: $5 million in a future that, for him, seemed inevitable.

The truth is that the climate around Bitcoin became a cocktail of euphoria, expectations, and blind faith in an asset that had already proven to survive brutal declines. And although no one knows for sure if those figures will be met, the general feeling in 2025 was that the big players had once again bet big.
