In today's world, organizations can outsource what were required to provide. To address this problem, there are organizations that provide services. In IT area, exists companies that provide IT services. We call such companies: service providers (service providers). The primary role of a service provider is provide capabilities and features that are not available in the client organization.
ITIL stands out as a source of best practices for managing IT services. ITIL Library publications provide the necessary guidance to achieve success in service management. ITIL consists of guidelines that can be used in the public and private sector organizations. This leads us to conclude that ITIL has a wide application spectrum and not just a particular niche companies or organizations.
