The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has been working for 3 years on a digital currency called DC / EP (Digital Currency / Electronic Payment) proposing a legal and official alternative to the Yuan or Renmimbi.

There are 4 Banks that are supporting the digital currency. The Agricultural Bank of China, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Bank of China and the China Construction Bank.

In May they begin to pay 50% of the salary in this currency. I think that coronavirus has to do with these movements of governments. I also think that money can be contaminated and that they are preparing us for a more digital immediate future.
