Hey guys, welcome to the atomic station for comic information, and for today, I'm going to be talking about NFT comic books. Now, to be honest I have been waiting for this topic to come up, because well... we are on Publish0x after all. (A blogging site that rewards bloggers and readers with crypto in exchange for their engagement.) It only felt right for my comic blog to seep into the world of cryptocurrencies! So let's dive right in!
I first thought of this a while back, when I was flipping through a Marvel comic and I saw that little sticker on the advertisement page. Yanno, this one...

Now I never snag any of these "free digital copies" and I really don't think that I am the only one who is actively ignoring these. I mean can you blame us? With physical comic books, we can keep them in mint condition and resell them later in time. With these digital copies, you can't really do shit. It isn't an NFT and it isn't a real book either. It's nothing more than a story on a computer file, and don't get me wrong... that is pretty cool... but wouldn't it be even cooler if Marvel had their own NFT comic-book marketplace, where you can resell the digital story when you are finished with it?
As it stands, with these digital comics there isn't really any maximum supply cap that I am aware of. So just imagine if there was a cap on the supply and if your digital comics weren't valued as free right off the bat, but instead, they were listed for a starting price, and overtime as people burn these comics, (for rewards of course) the holders who keep ahold of them will watch the value rise greatly. I mean what the hell is Marvel and DC waiting for? This could be a gold rush man!
Well, fret not. The future is on its way because comic book companies like Dynamite are already minting their own NFTs from comic book series such as The Boys, Vampirella, The Red Sonja, and more! They have actually gone as far as teaming up with TerraVirtua which is a company that makes this awesome virtual reality NFT showcase room where you can hang out and admire the art that you have been collecting across the metaverse. I have even been on there already since I won a free Coinmarketcap NFT through them, and I gotta say... It looked pretty cool and I cannot wait to see where they take it later in time after they keep updating their software and marketplace.

As time passes, things are just gonna keep progressing and moving forward. I mean it is really just a matter of time before we begin to see more and more independent artists creating their own NFT comic books rather than these dumb chimp jpegs we have been stuck with lately. This could be the start of something awesome. I mean I have even already seen a few Marvel NFT comics like The Hulk, but when an official Marvel NFT marketplace eventually comes out, we will have come full circle and you can say that you saw me predict it way back in March of 2022 here on this exact post! Haha.
I personally have plans to release my own NFT comics eventually and I really do hope that some of you will be interested in seeing what I can dish out. This idea has been hot and on my mind for a while and I think I just have to let my creativity flow and unleash my inner beast on this project. I'm excited to see how that all goes.
Welp, that's all for today... Thanks for stopping by my dude! Catch ya next time on Coin's Comic Corner!
