Hey fellas and welcome back to Coin's Comic Corner! Today I will be sharing with you, my top five Spawn comic book recommendations. For this post, I have handcrafted a list of what I consider to be some of the best stories that I have read so far from the Spawn Universe. Keep in mind that over the years, there have been many comics about Spawn... With that being said, I will probably make another top 5 list sometime soon to showcase a few more of my favorites! So, let's go ahead and jump right in.

Spawn WildC.A.T.S.

This is a collaborative event that contains 4 parts. In this story Spawn actually faces a much stronger version of himself from the future, with the help of the past and future WildC.A.T.S. This story is beautifully written and has twists and turns around every corner to keep you on your toes.

Spawn Batman
By Frank Miller & Todd McFarlane
This story is actually released by Image Comics as a one-shot, and it has a really good plot where we get to see the Dark Knight of Gotham go head to head against the Spawn from Hell. Will they decide to put their differences aside to work together and save the day? Or will they clash until they can no longer stand up on their own two feet?

Angela
By Neil Gaiman, Greg Capullo, Todd Broeker, & Tom Orz
Angela is a character from the original Spawn comic series. In this 3 part event, we get to see the trial of Angela and we even see Spawn thrown into the middle of it, and summoned to the heavens. This story really helps the reader better understand some more about who and what Angela is.

Gunslinger Spawn

Gunslinger Spawn is also a reoccurring character from the original Spawn comic book series. Nowadays, Gunslinger even has his own series where we see more of his past and present as the story bounces around from three different periods of time. The best part, all of the stories connect deeply to the entire Spawn Universe.

This is the original Spawn comic book series, where it all started. It was created by Todd McFarlane in May 1992 and has been the root of countless spin-off stories like Sam and Twitch, Angela, HellSpawn, and more! If you are going to read anything on this list, I highly recommend getting into this series first (It's like the genesis book of Spawn.)
