"Uh hey there fellas" and welcome to my comic corner, and for those of you who are here with me once again... Stop following me around. Just kidding my brothers in Christ, welcome back ya filthy animals.

Now today I would like to sit down and write a review about the website/comic shop that I have been ordering my new comic books from for the past three or four weeks now. The shop of discussion is called Atomic Empire, but it is not local for me so for my sake I just use their website called AtomicEmpire.com

Now the reason I wanted to wait sometime before I reviewed this shop is that I wanted to kind of become a regular customer of theirs so I could see the type of treatment I get on a week-to-week basis while placing orders. Now each week I spend about $40 on new titles and my girlfriend spends about the same thing. So typically, we do reach the $75 free shipping threshold. But for those of you who only want to spend a few bucks, you can just pay around $5 (give or take depending on location) for the standard economy shipping. It is worth mentioning that this shop lets you create a pull list for unreleased weekly titles so you can guarantee that you will own a copy for yourself and that it isn't all sold out come release day. You can pick these titles up weekly, biweekly, or even monthly. This is called subscribing to a title. I personally haven't done this yet since I do actually live across the street from another comic shop so if I really can't snag something online, then I can always go to this other shop the next day and grab it. However, I figured I would mention this subscription option because you as a reader may want to know about that for yourself. So if that sounds like something that sparks your interest, then go ahead and subscribe to your favorite titles now!

As for shipping, my experience so far has been phenomenal. My orders always come within the week that I ordered them. They also always arrive in a box fit to size, with packing paper on all edges of the inside of the box neatly and safely packed tight. The books all come bagged and boarded and then bundled together with a piece of paper taped tightly around the books instead of sticky tape - this way the paper will not rip comic sleeves upon opening the package. The books always come in mint condition and as a collector, I really cannot ask for anything more.

Now onto customer service... So, unfortunately, last week one of my books came with a few tears in the center of the pages. If you are curious, it was the Marvel Tales' New Fantastic Four #1. And now you couldn't tell this at first glance of the common eye because both the front and back of the book looked to be in mint condition. The pages had to of been ripped during the printing and manufacturing of the books. So naturally, I reached out to customer service and on that same day, a dope-ass guy named Steve got back to me. He asked for a photograph of the damaged goods and I sent it later that night. The next day, Steve assures me that the book had been damaged during the printing or possibly the packing process. He then tells me that he put an order in for a replacement for me and that he will ship it out to me for free when he has it. Now, this is what keeps customers coming back. Thank you Atomic Empire and THANK YOU STEVE.

So my overall thoughts/feelings on this shop... They haven't wronged me, they fixed it when the universe wronged me. They ship very securely. They care about customers genuinely. They go the extra mile with customer service. They answer customers in a speedy and orderly fashion.

I rate this shop a SOLID 10/10

if anything else happens as I continue to place orders weekly, then I will write a continuation review titled "Atomic Empire Review Part 2"
