This is not about amateur sports or sports in the general sense—activities that make people stronger and healthier. This is not about learning martial arts, swimming, running, track and field, dancing, or many other useful skills or forms of recreation.

By “destructive” shows, we mean shows and public spectacles in which people are struck with full force, blows result in blood, fractures, and injuries, shows involving the humiliation of the dignity of men or women, striptease, shows involving risks to human life, and similar activities.

For example, professional boxing, MMA, Stone Faces shows, fights involving overt aggression, shows in which people are struck with full force, striptease, the public display of intimate life, buildering without safety equipment, and similar activities.

The destructive elements of these shows consist of striking a person who is not at fault, subjecting a person to an undeserved beating, causing injuries, and intentionally harming a person’s health.

This is violence not for the purpose of defending oneself, one’s loved ones, or vulnerable people who need protection, and not for the purpose of protecting one’s property, but violence committed for material compensation, athletic titles, or a career, which makes such violence unlawful.

The offense here concerns not only the participants in the shows, but also their families, relatives, friends, and others, because the people close to them experience moral suffering and distress as a result of what takes place in the ring or at shows where harm is caused to people’s health, psychological trauma is inflicted, human dignity is humiliated, and other negative elements occur.

For example, the medical community is unanimous in stating that blows to the head can cause irreversible damage to the brain, whether delivered with boxing gloves or without them.

All of this cultivates unlawful behavior and popularizes unlawful aggression, fear, distrust, and the degradation of human dignity, treating a person not as a value in themselves, but as an inexpensive resource.

A community or nation in which such shows are popular pays a disproportionately high price, depriving itself of numerous benefits in the form of goods and services, sustainable businesses, technological development, innovation, and all the prosperity that comes from human talent, kindness, justice, trust among people, their work, and their investments.
