Plot Summary

Aliens contact some of Earth's best nuclear scientists to share knowledge and develop a project to turn lead into uranium.  But do the aliens have other motives?  A trip to another planet reveals more than they could have guessed.

Star Power   D-

The cast are veterans of the genre, but do not stand out in either a positive or negative way.  Some of the performances are too melodramatic.  Can you spot the Professor from Gilligan's Island?

Chill Factor   C

There is not much here to excite passion, other than a few alien vs girl encounters.  Between the mystery elements and the action scenes, there is enough to keep your date interested.

Mental Health Check   B+

The violence in the film is made less jarring by the special effects and the science fiction setting.  The storyline is a bit on the tragic side, but overall the film is relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall Grade   B-

The main thing to notice about this film is how the team acheived excellent special effects even with the limited technology of the time.  The scenes on the alien planet are beautiful even sixty years later.  There are some holes in the plot, but science fiction enthusiasts won't want to miss this one.
