What Major CEX Might Publish0x Work With!?

At the beginning of February, we were told by Igor that a CEX or Centralized Exchange partner was going to come on board and provide users the ability to withdraw straight to their exchange wallet and there would be no gas fee! The biggest thing about this major unnamed CEX is that they do not require a KYC or Know Your Customer which governments have been forcing exchanges to do. Coinbase for example has a KYC so that they follow financial regulations.

Hearing that this was an upcoming development and now seeing the message asking us to hold off on payment withdrawals until after March 10th I feel it is safe to say that the announcement has to be coming soon! This made me look into the major CEX exchanges that fit the narrative of no KYC and I got the following:

  • Binance
  • KuCoin
  • BitFinex
  • BitMEX
  • Livecoin

When looking at this list one would expect that Binance naturally makes the most sense but that not necessarily the case. In the United States Binance has really been sidelined due to KYC rules. While Binance.US exists it is separate from the rest of Binance. Further even Binance.US is not available within all US States. Due to these issues, I do not see Binance being the partner since it would really handicap US users and Publish0x from being able to use the gasless withdrawals!

With the four remaining exchanges, BitFinex is the next I feel you can cross off your list. With the links to tether and hacks, they have suffered no one who really cares about crypto would want to touch them with a 10-foot pole. Livecoin also can be crossed off I feel because while they are based in London and do not initially require a KYC if you do a bank transfer to add funds you have to do one.

The final two standing would then be KuCoin and BitMEX and when looking at these two I am not sure which one they would choose. KuCoin has been written about by a lot of people on this platform which I feel does give it a leg up. It also has 450 trading pairs so it is pretty easy to see how appeasing that would be. BitMEX is also a pretty good one as it does have a parent company that owns it which I feel gives it an added layer of security. It also benefits from a high volume of trading so it has the liquidity the users would want.

Overall my best guess would be KuCoin but if you have another idea let me know in the comments below!
