While others may shrug at the title what is going on in the White House and on Capitol Hill cannot be ignored. On January 28th three U.S. Service Members were killed in a drone attack on a military base in Jordan. Jordan is known to be a pretty significant U.S. ally in the Middle East and even is one of the few Arab Nations that has a peace deal with Israel. Since the Israel/Hamas war kicked off U.S. troops across the Middle East have been under attack and it was announced at the end of the last week the U.S. was preparing to enter discussions with Iraq to pull the coalition troops out. 

That is no longer an option. 

It is widely expected on The Hill that within the next 36 hours and likely tonight, January 29th, President Biden will be giving the go-ahead for U.S. forces to conduct a widespread show of force when it comes to the Middle East. I have seen a ton of ideas floated and posted in the media and on open-source intelligence monitors it is clear that something and likely something pretty significant will be done. 

This is not something that you should be taking a side in whether the U.S. should or should not rather it is something that is highly likely to happen and happen soon. When this does occur how the markets react I think will be anyone's guess. Some Biden Admin Officials have already stated that the current situation is worse than the Yom Kippur War in 1973 with others saying the situation is even worse. No matter what the results are trade is going to be affected, lives are going to be affected, and possibly further attacks are going to take place. All of this is to say that the markets could swing in a rather remarkable fashion from being up to down and then end up flat. 

We just do not know. All that we can know is to be aware of the huge unknown that is facing the markets both in the crypto space and in the traditional markets as well because war can have an unpredictable effect on them.
