This whole year has been a hell of a ride for me but the way it has started and the way it has ended will be the same it appears.... Someone in the house getting the flu. In January I had to fly back home to Texas to renew my drivers license and when my mom picked me up from the airport her words to me were "you look like hell are you okay" and at the time I figured I felt like crap because I had just taken a 6 am flight out of DC to Houston. 

Well that was not the case..... I came home and was out for 4-5 hours before my mom woke me up to see how I was doing and the answer was not great.... not great at all. I still thought it was something to do with the work stress and travel so I slept all of Saturday and Sunday (this isn't the rarest thing with me it is something I will often do on the weekends). Monday morning I had my drivers licenses renewal appointment and while going to that I just looked and felt like death. I had the chills and the cold sweats and probably had a fever but given how I had to make this appointment a month in advance and I wouldn't be back till after my birthday I had to make it happen so I forced myself to get through it. 

Once I got that done my dad immediately went we are going to the Dr. and drove me straight to our family physician who ran a flu test as soon as I walked in and bam flu A positive. My parents were "trilled" since they also had to take Tamiflu. Well how the tables turn because I flew back home for Christmas Wednesday and since Thursday my mom has started to have a cough.... yesterday she was straight up not looking or feeling good and today when we tested her she tested positive forrrrrrr flu B! Now my dad and I get to take Tamiflu for the next 10 days so I will be ending the year just how I was in January...... taking freaking Tamiflu
