Portfolio Goals for 2022: Update 1

Earlier this month I set out some preliminary goals I had for myself for this year in crypto. If you would like to read that article you can find it here. These goals where just set coins/tokens and the amount of them that I wanted to acquire over the course of the year. Currently I am in the middle of applying for a bunch of jobs as my internships have ended so I do not have the typical cash flow in for a job and have been relying on my side hustles like posting here until I nail down a job! I was extremely lucky in that I had quite a bit of DAI that I decided to convert into some of these cryptos which is where 99.99% of the money came from to do this.

In my initial post I stated that by the end of the year I wanted to accomplish the following goals.

Bitcoin- 0.1 BTC
Ethereum- 1 ETH
DAI- 2,500 DAI
Tezos- 250 XTZ
The Graph- 500 GRT
Chiliz- 500 CHZ
Polygon- 250 MATIC
KuCoin Shares- 50 KCS

Now some of these I expected to be a stretch just due to the price of the given coins at the time. Even with the pullback I am uncertain about being able to reach some of these but others I have made considerable progress! When going over my goals though I realized I forgot to list what my holdings were at the time of the post! Below I have listed them in the same order as above!

Bitcoin- 0.0046 BTC
Ethereum- 0.03104 ETH
DAI- 1001 DAI
Tezos- 156.14 XTZ
The Graph- 246.61 GRT
Chiliz- 202.54 CHZ
Polygon- 5.474 MATIC on the Polygon Network
KuCoin Shares- 10.334 KCS

So what all have I added the last 12 days? Well with the market being down and kind of setting into a trench I decided to start purchasing some of the ones that I wanted to add! There is done in a variety of ways for example Bitcoin I do not buy anymore as I get it back on every purchase with my Fold card which if you do not have if you sign up with my referral link here you get 5,000 sats for free! I have also bought some Ethereum on Robinhood where I had free cash sitting. To pay for these transactions on Coinbase where almost all of them were except if noted below I drew down on my DAI holdings which I can replenish easily enough!

Polygon- NEW 43.96 MATIC
KuCoin Share- NEW 0.0178 KCS via the daily dividend payments.

This brings my total amount held of the selected cryptos to

Bitcoin- 0.006986 BTC
Eth- 0.10604 ETH
DAI- 660.64 DAI
Tezos- 183.99 XTZ
The Graph- 420.09 GRT
Chiliz- 241.58 CHZ
Polygon- 43.96 MATIC on Coinbase and 5.474 MATIC on Polygon Network
KuCoin Share- 10.351 KCS

I have to admit I did not expect to make as much progress as I have. Like I said these goals being made so early in the year are going to be subjected to change over the next few months but I have already almost knocked one (The Graph) off the list! I also made some tremendous progress with purchasing almost 20% of the MATIC I wanted to for the year. Tezos has entered an interesting place and if it ducks below $4 a coin again I will be sure to purchase more! The same goes for MATIC if it dips to under $2.05 a coin. While I want to start purchasing Bitcoin and Ethereum l do not have the capital yet to be able to really impact my positions there so I will be focusing on the ALT coins for now!
