When I first saw that a new competition was announced I thought "haven't I seen this coin advertised before"? Jetcoin is driving to disrupt an industry that has begun to emerge in the US that has young athletes go to people or companies for an upfront loan for a percentage of their future earning. With Jetcoin an athlete or talents as they call them can come to Jetcoin who will work with them to decide on a percentage for future earnings. They, Jetcoin, will then post it to Jetcoin holders to find out if it is a popular idea and if it is the transaction will go through. This is where Jetcoin NFTs come into play as a limited amount of NFTs will be created and released thus funding the loan.
Jetcoin NFT Features/Utility
The Jetcoin NFTs is where the magic happens! Unlike most NFTs that are really either just an image or like a card where they have an image on the front and some stats or information on the back Jetcoin NFTs offer a ton more! Not only do they offer the artwork and information, but they offer additional things like videos, photos, links, and the most interesting and unique feature the rewards tab. This rewards tab could come with rewards already on the NFT but also allows for future rewards to be airdropped at a later date as the athlete develops!
Other Ways of Return on Investment
Beyond the athletes NFT appreciating in value as they develop the Jetcoin ecosystem offers other ways for the investors in the NFTs to get a return on investment. If the athlete signs brand deals or any other type of deal covered in their contract the Jet Institute buys Jetcoin off the market and then airdrops this dollar amount to each NFT holder! The NFT holders also will be able to purchase rewards that are unique to each athlete and could cover a range of things from meet and greets to attending events at a discounted price compared to the normal market rate! These things all produce additional utility and ways for fans to be able to engage.
Final Thoughts
With blockchain and crypto becoming adapted by more and more people this utilization of it can lead to huge benefits for both players and fans alike. Recently in Baseball for instance players who signed contracts in there late teens are now signing contracts worth tens of million of USD. Initally they received a loan for up to $250,000 however the companies are earning 8% of their contracts. If they sign a $10 million contract this means that the company is making $800,000 USD alone. This continues for their entire player career leading to some pretty dramatic results. Jetcoin's idea and utilization will bring both freedom and fairness to these funding ideas. Thus allowing the player to continue to chase their dreams but also not tying them to a very bad contract!
