Even though it may not seem like it crypto has performed very well this year as Bitcoin has jumped from $16.6k on January 1, 2023, to over $35.5k and Ethereum has jumped from $1.1k to $1.9k. Naturally, these two have consumed most of the attention as the two largest coins and the ones with the biggest followings. There have been a ton of other coins or "alts" as they are known that also have performed amazingly and have great underlying tokenomics.
The one that I have performed the best in by far is Chainlinks (LINK). Currently, Chainlink has hit as high as $13.51 today and this is a crypto that I bought 5-10 tokens at a time back in the high $5 low $6 range so I have more than doubled my money already this year. Chainlink though has a ton of good news and fantastic partnerships behind it. We have seen recently that they have growth potential both within the crypto space and without in their oracle service.
Even in a crypto winter, the Chainlink team has racked in partnerships outside of the crypto space and just continues to build and thrive. Over the last year, they have been able to expand their decentralization to include a LINK 2.0 roadmap which has included beginning to roll out LINK staking ability. Though this is limited this does comfort a long-standing grievance against the Chainlink development team of it being way too centralized. Within the crypto space as well Chainlink is alone when it comes to price oracle services as they are leaps and bounds ahead of others like Bank Protocol.
While I have sold off some of my LINK bag to cover LINK falling to zero it will be really interesting to see how far the token will move without a "big" bull run breakout. If a bull run starts to form and break out then who knows what to expect of LINK as it could easily hit and surpass its all-time high of over $51 a coin. The Chainlink team should really be commended on what they have been able to accomplish by partnering with other much more traditional sectors and bringing them into the Web 3 and blockchain future space. Not only cannot not wait to see what this project does in the future but I cannot wait to see what it does to help grow the space overall!
