By now it should be known that the Fold Debit Card might be my favorite thing in the crypto space as it has allowed me to earn better rewards than I could with my other credit or debit cards. For the credit cards that I have only travel and restaurants really pay off since I get 5x and 3x points respectively on purchases in those two categories. Fold gives me the ability to see and weigh my options as I know how much Bitcoin I am going to get. The product that Fold offers is really a cut above the rest and right now they are once again running a special for their users along with providing an update on what is in store for Fold this year!
Fold Valentines Day Boost
Fold is giving its users a fantastic Valentine's Day gift this year and it is so juicy it makes me almost want to blush! Multiple gift cards, those that would be used on a date like to restaurants or experiences like Top Golf have been boosted a whole percent! This theme makes a ton of sense with the whole premise or idea behind Valentine's day after all! The other gift card options that Fold offers like Amazon, Adidas, and Disney are not boosted as they do not really fit the theme at the end of the day. Overall though there are 24 different boosted gift cards to choose from!
Fold 2023 Roadmap
I was wondering when the Fold team was going to tease us with the release or in this case the preview of what to expect in 2023. Right off the bat skimming through the ideas/plans I can tell you some I like a heck of a lot more than others. The change in the Amazon gift card rate sucks as it is going to fall to 2.5% for me from the original 5%. They have tried to offset this by allowing you to buy an unlimited amount of them however since I was someone who did not ever hit the limit it is just a cut in what I get back.
Now other things that are being added are phenomenal including round-ups to the nearest dollar with a Bitcoin purchase, dollar cost averaging where you can set up the amount and frequency, and even a family plan! In this roadmap, they tease a huge revamp in the Fold Spinwheel experience something I will be keeping an eye on. For those that purchase their Bitcoin via Fold, it has gotten even better for them and by it I mean the experience as they no longer have to experience a 3-day holding period they can withdraw their Bitcoin to cold storage instantly!
