Every few months the Fold Team revamps the wheel adding and subtracting new prizes with the goal to increase payouts for users. Yesterday their newest wheel finally was announced and with it a revamp of how the wheel will work/function going forward. With that what does this newest update hold and how will it benefit users?!
Update One: Extra Spins
When you make a purchase you have two options. The first is to take a flat rate of 1% back in BTC while the other is to spin a wheel to earn back everything from a whole BTC to 0.25% back in BTC. As to be expected a ton of people chose to take the wheel route. As someone who always takes this route, it was key to have additional spins at my disposal so that if I hit less than 1% I could spin again and makeup at least what I had lost.
This system has its issues though as I would avoid using my Fold Card because I knew I would not have enough spins for the purchases I had planned out. Big prizes were often just too hard to be able to access as well which led me to horde my spins until I bought something with the card. Based on how my spins when I would know if I should purchase another card or wait a couple of days. Fold looked into this and released the following findings
Seeing the issue Fold has revamped its spin system to help out users. Starting today Extra Spins will now only last 24 hours and not 7 days as they used to. Also, all cardholders will receive more extra spins every day. Spin+ members will receive 3 extra spins a day while Spin users will receive 1 extra spin a day.
Update Two: Prizes
Prizes have also been an issue and were addressed as well. One of the biggest moves was that individual win limits on the big prizes have been eliminated. This is fantastic and will allow people to spin and win much more often! With the number of spins increasing this means that people are going to hit the bigger prizes and now can benefit from them and not have to try and decide if they want to keep it for this purchase or possibly sacrifice it for a later purchase.
Update Three: The Wheel
Not only did they adjust the wheel but they helped boost individuals' abilities to hit bigger! Like I had stated earlier the 3, 4, 5, 100% and $50 wedge limits have been removed! To simplify the wheel as well they have removed the 1% (one I found a little redundant with 1% already being an option if you don't choose the wheel) and the $5 wedge. The odds for these two have been distributed across the 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.5%, and 2% wedges! To offset the huge limits being eliminated they have reduced the 3 and 4% wedges but overall the ability to hit bigger prizes has increased considerably!
