When I first joined Stacker News I had a little bit of a confusing time learning how to navigate it. Not that it was hard or complex but it was different compared to other blogging platforms I had ever blogged on before. As I learned towards the end of March when April rolled around I learned they were having another "Million Sat Month" where the top contributor, as decided by the zaps you got and those people's zap ranks, and the top 100 from what I can recall would earn bonus sats that as they earned points over the month.
At the end of the month, I ended up in 29th place earning a bonus of 35,379 sats worth ~$21.83 at today's, May 14th, 2024 value. This nice boost helped push me overall to earning 100k sats in the month alone! A huge win for me and not something I expected to occur for some time! It goes to show was perservence can do!
I did learn a couple of pretty important things during this time and those were that I do not need to post I can earn hundreds and thousands of sats a day with comments (as long as they are good). Not only that but the sports community is extremely active and everyone there is super super generous. Almost ever comment with get 10-50 sats and then if it is something that helps contribute a 100 or more is not crazy!
