Traveling through time

What is your super power?  I am a time traveler.  We all are.  Most people do not consider time much more than a static boring thing, or perhaps a mystical spooky thing, but time is really something worth discussing.

In the book of Daniel, we read about the end of time on this Earth, when the fourth and final "beast" (which the Bible tells us is a worldwide kingdom) wages war against God, and the end times "bad guy" known as the Antichrist's "false prophet" wages war against Christians, and prevails, until Jesus Christ returns:

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
Daniel 7.21-28

We read here about a person who the Word describes as someone who thinks to change the times and laws, and it says they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.  This describes when Jesus Christ returns, and the time period where the world is under the rule of this kingdom which is against God, which just precedes the time when He returns.

We are going to travel through time to that period.  The Earth is on track now to begin what looks to be about a seven year period of horrible tribulation, beginning in September of this year.  (Please read my earlier posts here to understand how I've arrived at that month.)

There is a great blessing in store for those who hold on for another forty-five days or so after the mark of the beast is officially set up as mandated, as the abomination of desolation which defiles the temple of God.  Jesus Christ revealed that we are the temple of God, our bodies are His temple.  The mark of the beast is that defilement which Jesus Christ warned us about through His faithful prophets like Daniel and John and others.

Have you ever heard someone say that time goes faster as you get older?  It sort of seems like that in some regard, I think, to most people in America or anywhere where people live their lives towards getting into ruts where they repeat the same patterns over and over again, because we stop expecting new things and shut down our minds and awareness of events, and it seems like there are less events that take place between events because as people grow older, they are conditioned to stop paying attention to the little things that happen, and to appreciate the "stability" that their "retirement funds" bring them.  People in today's modern days are brought up with expectations that you'll arrive one day at a place of ultimate contentment, when you no longer have to worry about anything because you've established such patterns in your life that you can count on them to bring you the stability and economic "freedom" that you need to live a fulfilling life.

When we were younger, we used to go on long road trips in cars, and as I've grown, I've taken many long road trips in cars and trucks, both solo and with others, and I've driven across the United States several times over.  I'm not sure that everyone has experienced this, but, there are many times when I've been traveling somewhere new, and as I'm going there, it seems like it takes a while to get there, and then on the return ride back, it seems like it doesn't take nearly as long to get back as it did to get there, even though I took the same route and drove about the same speed both ways.  I have asked some people, and several of them have said they've experienced this too, and I think I know what it is.

It's related to the same concept of the perspective that time "speeds up" as you get older, in that on our way to some new place, like a new campground or amusement park or beach or some vacation spot, we are wide-eyed with wonder, looking around at everything, looking for any signs that we're getting close to our fun destination.  Then, on the ride back, if we're not driving, we might barely even look out the window, and we're really only anticipating "getting home" and not as many "events" are taking place in our minds, and we are not hoping for as much or being aware of our surroundings the same as when we were going to that new place.

Time itself is fairly stable, in and of what we call "time" as humans in 2023 Anno Domini.  We've counted seconds, minutes, and hours for a long time, but even now there are scientists who are claiming that they are re-defining the second, as well as the foot, to be a synthetic thing of their own creation, rather than the original thing that these things were created as in the first place.  It's the same mentality that has re-defined Pluto as no longer being a planet.  Sometimes I think that some people have grown so smart they've become stupid.

Time is not a dimension.  This is an error in physics, to call time an equivalent "dimension" as are height, width, and length.  Time is a language and a perception.  Time is a set of vocabulary that we use to describe our perception of light and motion and the progress of change.  Seconds, minutes, and hours are mental constructs that we've agreed to use because it's what our society has used for so long, and it appears as an "almost-perfect" mathematical representation of the orbit of Earth around the sun, and its revolutions on its axis.

Yet, there is a day and some hours missing from the "galactic calendar" that scientists cannot explain, but if you look in the Bible, it's explained in two different situations, one with the Dial of Ahaz and one during a battle that God helped His people win in an amazing way.

There is "dimensional" time, which includes seconds, minutes, and hours, but there is also "experiential" time, and this is the time which is observed and often recorded in our minds as events and changes in our perceptions and states of being take place, and as we find ourselves in positions where we enjoy or don't enjoy, our perception of time often becomes more intense.

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying that the theory of relativity is summed up in the comparison between sitting next to a hot girl for five minutes, which can seem like it lasts only thirty seconds, or sitting on a hot stove for five minutes, which can seem like it lasts an eternity.  In this sense, there is a sense of loose time travel.

When we sleep and dream, and for some people, when they wake and dream, there is a place of infinitude which is outside of the common boundary of time, and here there is room for a far kind of time travel, yet, we are always in reality.  There is only one reality, yet there are many realities.  There is one truth, yet there are many people who have their own versions of small truth.  Yet, there is only one truth.

Jesus Christ has taught us that there is a "time," a "times," and a "dividing of time," and an "end of time."

Jesus Christ is Lord! This ministry is blessed by God to observe and report what is real and happening around us today, and to share God's Word among the nations, and to share the rest and contentment which comes from knowing Jesus Christ. ~ Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Psalm 127.1-2
