Some of the most brilliant minds have several times over described the impossibility that two snowflakes would ever be exactly the same. If we use the simple traditional definition of a snowflake, which has six basically-symmetrical sides when observed, and sometimes absolutely symmetrical sides, then to find two alike snowflakes is so impossible that mathematicians have helped us understand the scope of it with excellent word illustrations.
One paper I read which seemed exhaustive on the subject at the time expounded on the shape of water molecules, and how for just one water molecule, there are so many different possible shapes that it could freeze into, interlocking with other perfectly-frozen or almost-perfectly-frozen water molecules in their just-as-possible or just-as-unlikely shape, to form a snowflake, the humble scientist guessed a wager and used his math to prove that his guess is arguably on the small side of estimation, by spelling out an exponential number which, if written the smallest that you could read on a piece of notebook paper, it would take almost both sides of the piece of notebook paper to write all the numerals which make up the exponent notation that represents how many possible shapes water molecules could freeze into. That was his conservative estimate.
Since then, I have read several more very learned-sounding articles which are written by people who have very esteemed titles and some who nobody's ever heard of before, who have all also expounded on the scale of the size of the enormous amount of possible shapes that water molecules could freeze into to form a perfectly-shaped or almost-perfectly-shaped six-pointed snowflake.
One person further illustrates this by pointing out that the amount of possible snowflakes is so huge that if you were to see every snowflake that was ever formed, you would not find two that were the same.
Another person points out that the chance of two snowflakes ever appearing identical is so small that when expressed as a number there is nothing else to compare it to to distinguish it from 0. The chance is indistinguishable from 0 when written in math.
Another says that on average every year, about 1, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 snowflakes fall from the sky. That's a trillion trillion. That's a septillion.
If any of this is even remotely accurate, and it's that difficult for the shape of a snowflake to form, then how do six sides of it form identically or semi-identically? If the shape which is repeated symmetrically is so unlikely to ever happen more than once, and it's effectively as likely as it happening 0 times, how does that shape happen six times in a perfect or semi-perfect snowflake?
A modern sort of 'out there' self-help smiling giant of a guy Tony Robbins has a video speech somewhere where he does a fantastic job of breaking down just how big a trillion is. One single trillion is a number so big that humans really truly struggle to grasp how big it is, and will never. Tony Robbins breaks it down and shows how a trillion is so much bigger than a billion when it comes to dollars, and he spoke these words years ago, I think when President Obama was becoming President for the first time and America was entering into a trillion dollars of debt for the first time back in 2009. I don't agree with much of anything that I've heard Tony Robbins say because even when he mentions Jesus, he doesn't mention Jesus like he really knows him and he's sort of off on some tangent I really haven't followed, but, his video about how big the number "a trillion" is is very informative and I've recommended that people watch that to get an idea of how much money our nation is in debt. There is nothing else that uses the number "trillion" aside from our national debt and the number of data points that the Governments and private corporations hold, buy, and sell on the average person during their lifetime.
Humans can barely comprehend what natural forces are around them all day every day, let alone the rambunctious energetic forces which are unleashed from electronics all day every day in modern era nations and places. For some reason, I've always been able to hear when electronics are on around me, so when someone turns a tv on or even a fluorescent bulb or other heavy-current electronics, I can hear it in the high frequency ranges, and I can likewise hear it while it's on and while it's operating and when it turns off. I think most people can, or could at some point, but since most people ignore it all, most other people learn to ignore all the noise pollution that our electronics generate, but if you pay attention, you can hear patterns and changes in those patterns of sounds as you walk through a mall or carnival or other place where there is a lot of energy put out without much concern for shielding it from humans.
When the Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha’apai Volcano erupted about a year ago under the Pacific Ocean, it sent a cloud of Earth up over 30 miles into the sky, the furthest that any science has recorded in history from a volcanic eruption. People in Alaska heard the eruption, about 6000 miles away, across the ocean. A doctor from NASA explained that enough water to fill at least 58,000 olympic-sized swimming pools was ejected from the ocean and into the stratosphere, an "unprecedented" amount of water to be pushed up all at once.
Today as I was building a fire, I pulled a piece of wood out from our wood stack, which is about 9 feet tall under a roof, and one side of a whole section of wood came toppling over because it was time. In an instant, a huge amount of wood was suddenly falling and sliding towards me, and if I were to have put myself underneath of it, I would have been crushed without mercy and with haste. That much force is enough to be called "enormous" because to a human being, it is a lot to deal with, too much to physically handle alone without any tools or help, once it got moving. One time, I was stuck on the side of a highway where my car was unable to get through the thick snow. At one point, I was standing outside of my car when I heard a loud blast from a large snow plow coming my way. He was telling me to get out of the way. I was irritated he was making such a racket. Then snow and gravel and whatever else, heavier than I could account for, was suddenly sloshed up into the air into a 15 foot tall tidal wave coming straight at me, and I was submerged and knocked back by it, covered in mud and dirt and yucky snow and gravel, painfully aware of my own insolence only moments before which had turned to a similarly intense embarrassment as I thought of my choices which led to my state at that moment.
During summer time, there are many kinds of choices which can be made without much regard at all for the time of day or the timing of the choice, or for the amount of time spent participating in the results of a choice. In the deep winter in some places, many of those same kinds of choices which could before be made without regard of time become choices which would put life and limb in danger depending on the timing and duration of those choices. Standing outside when it's 70°F or 80°F with only a t-shirt and shorts and sandals on seems like a fairly normal thing to do in a lot of places during the summer, but standing in that same location clothed in those same clothes merely 6 months later could be the end of someone's life if they were to somehow get stuck outdoors without shelter, unable to stay warm. Warmth is energy, which can be contained and transferred. Cold is merely the absence of warmth, and while there is such a thing as "cold energy," it is energy in that it is an absence of heat which causes absorption and transfer of heat, so heat is the energy which is enforced or influenced down by the presence or lack of heat.
People are talking about the Earth's core in the news, so people who read the news are talking about it too for a little while. They're talking about evidence that the Earth's magnetic inner core is fluctuating and stopping its movement. They're talking like they can see it, based on conjecture that they form from observing Earth's changing magnetic fields. What they're not acknowledging is that man has caused all of this destruction to come upon the planet from drilling and removing oil and sediment and minerals and metals over roughly 6 or 7 decades or so. When God created this planet and the solar system within which the Sun and the Earth and all the planets rest upon their specific cushion of gravity, He made this Earth capable of sustaining life for a lot longer than it's going to be able to now, because man has destroyed the planet, and God says in His Word that those responsible for the destruction of the Earth will be judged by Him.
Inside of the Earth, there are almost unimaginably huge caverns which are filled, and which used to be filled, with oil and gases, which provided cushioning and spring-like movement in the Earth's crust. These huge caverns were connected by even larger networks of veins within the Earth's crust, through which oil and gas have flowed for eons, acting as a natural buffer between the heat from the magma beneath, and the surface up here where we live, and also this oil acts as a lubricant for the insides of the Earth's crust, as it floats and compresses and de-compresses over time, under the natural duress of planetary gravity and other forces which pull upon our Earth. These places where man gets all the oil we use are so full of oil when we first find them that when they poke a hole in the Earth and strike that "black gold," it rushes up that tube through miles of Earth, water, and up into the sky hundreds of feet, until they clamp it down and begin sucking it all out. When they're finished, nobody replenishes the Earth. They don't go back and repair the damage or fill it in with clean water or anything. They make money by pumping the worst of the worst of man's industrial and other byproducts into the Earth's veins, before capping it off with some cement and moving on to the next one. Almost all of the old cement caps are known to be leaking, and many of the new ones are not sealed properly from the start and they know they are leaking.
When the Deepwater Horizon eruption took place, mankind wasn't satisfied to let the oil naturally dissipate. To hide how bad the problem was, they poured untested and toxic chemicals into the ocean everywhere they could find oil, in the hopes that their experimental coagulant would bind to the oil and sink it to the ocean floor where it would somehow become benign to the environment and not spread all around the globe. That happened to a lot of the oil, but a lot of it just sunk a few feet below the surface, becoming virtually impossible to remove by any other known means, as it continued its voyage around the global waterways.
When the Fukushima nuclear plant blew up from a earthquake/tsunami hitting the island of Japan where the nuclear plant was built, within 48 hours those specific isotopes were located in grass and in the air across the globe, as reported from universities and government monitors. Within a week, the entire globe had become forever radioactive from that disaster. Within six months, the entire world's oceans were fully contaminated with radioactive waste which will never be removed before God destroys it all. The worst of it was delayed by the work that the international community did to establish an unprecedented water reclamation and containment and treatment system, but Japan has announced that this year they are beginning to release all that horribly contaminated water back into the world's oceans, and nobody is stopping it.
Soon the world's waters will be putrid blood, unable to be drank for nourishment. Since colonial times, people living on the East Coast of the United States have been pooping and peeing in the water there, and in more modern times the amount and intensity of pollution has multiplied several times over along the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware and New Jersey shores. The water there only barely even resembles water when observed by human senses, and it doesn't quite fit the scientific definition of what water is anymore. In some places, the oxygen level has reached what scientists call 0%. How can H2O have 0% oxygen? In many places, there is no larger sea life other than the crabs and horseshoe crabs and stinging nettles that swarm the areas. The sharks don't bother going in those areas because there is no food and the water is putrid. People swim there and bring their families to these beaches every summer to bask in the fumes and sunlight. The water is black in most places and brown in the best places there, and these individual qualities each are not unique to the East Coast, but I have spent a lot of time in a lot of places with water, and I have never seen water that is as bad as it is there.
The Bible tells us about all of this, and has foretold all of this, and even tells us about someone who is going to rise who speaks with great swelling words, and who conquers with a flood of words. I pray to God to interrupt me, to tie my tongue in knots when I begin speaking out of my own faulty knowledge, because I know the foolishness of man, and I know my own foolishness, and I would rather be a fool for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ than to be someone who thinks something of their own self-worth by basing it on their own self-worth. The only thing I can boast in is that Jesus Christ loved me so much that He transformed me and made me madly in love with Him and with His people. My life is miraculous and I see miracles often and people are healed and taught and spiritually nourished by the Holy Spirit everywhere that I go because Jesus Christ leads me, and He has made me a willing servant, but not just a servant, a friend and a brother and a fellow inheritor of His Kingdom with all the saints who have ever believed on the One True God, Jehovah, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, He is the One Who breathed us into existence and breathed life into us, and He is the One Who created the universe and the planets and He is the One Who created the Earth for us to inhabit.
This great God of ours is magnificent! People have been dumbed down to not expect God to show up, to not expect people to live righteously, to not expect to see miracles, to not expect prophets to prophesy, to not expect the Holy Spirit to be poured out, but, they have been duped. Our great God will gain glory from all those who do not obey His Word, who reject His Son Jesus Christ, who blaspheme His Holy Spirit, by the brightness of their burning when they are destroyed by the brightness of His coming when He returns. Those who are saved and all of the angels and all of all creation will cry out Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty Who Was, Who Is, and Who will be! Everyone is going to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and every knee will bow to Him. There are a lot of other lesser things which have gained peoples' attention recently, but God's Word ought to have our attention.
Anybody paying any attention to "world events" could easily read about them in the Bible and learn more about what's going on than by spending their life in front of a tv watching all the news they can find. Anybody could prophesy about what the world is heading into, merely by reading what the words on the pages of the Bible say about the end of days. Jesus described us, our current group of ~8 billion people on this planet, in Matthew chapter 24.
God describes the Kingdom of Heaven in many ways, and God is aware of all of our perspectives, and He informs us of those who are believers, and their perspective of things, and those who are not believers, and their perspectives of things. It is amazing that our great God Who is responsible for all of us, Who created all of everything which was ever created, delivered gifts to us. Our Father in Heaven has declared that He wants for us to be thankful always. This is an infinitely awesome thing to ponder! The Word tells us that Moses brought the law, which was like our schoolteacher, to raise us up, but Jesus Christ fulfilled all the law, and brought grace and truth.
Jesus Christ brought rest for us, because we know not how to truly rest on our own. He commands us to rest so that we will, because otherwise, some people would not rest, to their own detriment, even perhaps believing that they are macho in God's eyes or something for being able to push their self to extreme lengths of exhaustion and weariness which God has provided the work to avoid already. Rest is not a thing which a person can think of once and never have another thing to think of it again, but rest is something upon which we dwell and live with our God within, and it is a target and a goal for many people who never seem to really actually desire to intentionally rest, although they need it. Rather than aim at rest, people ought to find real rest today.
One cannot just go from running a football on a field to deciding to rest in that moment, and do so without dire consequences. Nor should someone decide while they are driving a car or piloting a plane that it's a good time to sleep, because in those times we need to be alert and aware. Sleep is one type of rest, but rest is big and we can experience rest deeper than sleep, even while we are awake and doing other things, and indeed, we may be at rest while we are driving or piloting or running in a game. There is this kind of rest which we have in our soul, in our spirit, and in our body which springs from the rest that we have in knowing that our eternal salvation is secure. No matter how magnificent or glorious or stunning or awe-inspiring anything in this life is ever made to seem, all of that pales in comparison the the scale of eternity and how great a thing it is to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven by believing in Jesus Christ.
With all the adrenal-inducing advertising and flashy graphics and crafted sounds and visual landscapes that we are inundated with from the time we wake up to the time we go to bed in this modern digital world, it is easy to understand how people could become distracted from reality, distracted from God. Yet, it is also easy to see that it is becoming less and less likely that most people involved with technology today are going to have any desire to decouple from it until it is already too late, and they're sucked into life-or-death situations where they depend on technology so much that to leave it would mean certain death or destruction of their livelihood. With all the stories about heros and anti-heros and the nuances and sub-contexts that billions of dollars are spent to craft these identities for people to grasp ahold of by the Hollywood and other "entertainment" puppeteers today, it is no surprise that suicide is the #1 killer of young people in most states across the nation many years in a row now. So many people are shown artificial versions of reality and made to suspend their consciousnesses to adopt new ways of thinking about things, only to be disillusioned when their mental state of being collapses under the weight of suffering reality versus remaining in their delusions brought on by over-exposure to movies and video games and "pop" culture.
What if people had obeyed the 10 commandments, and didn't say the Lord's name in vain, or didn't make images of things, or dishonor their parents or steal or murder? Society would have been a lot different. But people's hearts would still need saving, because it's not in following the commandments that sets someone free; it's in knowing our Saviour. This is the only true freedom there is: to know God, and to be known by God.
This same God Who can draw an infinite number of different snowflakes with such an infitesimally small canvas such as water molecules is the same God Who spoke the universe into existence, and is the same God by Whose words our life consists even now.
What if Adam and Eve hadn't sinned in the Garden of Eden? I'm not sure, but, that's the way it went, and God wasn't surprised. God our Father had already declared Jesus Christ as the Lamb Which Was Slain From the Foundation Of The Earth, and God knew that there would be a perfect time to send Him in the form of a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, with a virgin for a mother. When Jesus Christ had finished His ~33.5 year ministry walking around on this Earth in the flesh, He said some things which have no comparison with anything else anyone else has ever said:
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
