Having my own family was always of great importance to me, but having my own children topped every single need.
I remember how much I used to fantasize about being a mother. I couldn’t wait to have someone call my small self "Mama"—oh yes, 😂 I'm a small woman! I would always look in the mirror and say to myself, "So, someday I will marry and have kids, and one small creature almost my size will start to call me mama up and down?" 😂
I loved the feeling of that so much. I couldn't wait for it to happen—in fact, it became a major prayer point of mine.
Fast forward to today... I have moved on to entirely different prayer points, and can you guess my state of mind? I’m a bit normal and a bit crazy! 🤪 Someone might ask, "Why, Chiamy?"
Well, my prayer was answered! Oh yeah, I have an amazing family and a sweet little girl who makes me laugh and cry, talk and shout. But now, I’m sitting here thinking: Did I not specify enough in my prayers, or did I over-emphasize? 🤔
She keeps me way too busy! She complains when nothing happens, and still complains when something happens. She cries when nothing happens, and still cries when something happens. Sometimes I just get completely confused! 🤔
So I'm here to tell you all: Be careful what you ask for, so you don't find yourself in an unpredictable situation! 😂
But if you ask me if I would still pray for this amazing family all over again? Yes, absolutely! Because even in my "half-okay and not-okay" states, they are the absolute best things that have ever happened to me. It’s actually sweet when she cries for nothing and then suddenly starts humming a tune right after, like she wasn’t just the one crying a second ago! 😂
Honestly, I didn’t know this was what motherhood entails. Shout-out to all the "okay and not-okay" mothers out there holding it down! 🥂
