Infermate vs. Jannurkupjasar

By Xethylirin | Chess PGN | 25 Apr 2021

Here's a spicy game, opening with the Smith-Morra Gambit. When facing Sicilian defense, white has an opportunity to sacrifice the d and c pawn for an aggressive attack line with surprises and tricks along the way.

Key points: gambit, sacrifice, and suffocating checkmate.

Down the line, black is tempted with a super charged knight to dominate white winning the exchange for a rook. Little does black realize white is more than happy to lose that rook.

10 min game.

Key moments: move 23 (Qh3, Ne2+) King is forced to move, and black picks up the juicy rook. Unfortunately for black the temptation was too strong, and black misses 25. Ng6+ !!! hxg6 is forced followed swiftly by Qxh8++!!!!!!!!!
