Twitter competitor App Threads by Meta is set to launch

By Yugocean | Champion | 5 Jul 2023

Ever since Elon Musk bought Twitter, he has become the biggest rival of social media king Mark Zuckerberg. Now a new app called Threads is being released by Zuckerberg's company, Meta, to give direct competition to Twitter.

Possibility for Threads

Since Threads is a Meta product, it will get support from other Meta platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. At this time, Elon Musk has set a limit on Twitter views, due to which there has been a practical decrease in the use of Twitter. This situation can also give time for Threads to grow.

Difficulty for Threads

Meta's products are always in dispute regarding privacy; threads are no different from this; this platform has not come yet; and questions have been raised on its privacy policy. Many people are also angry with Zuckerberg regarding freedom of speech, while more freedom is available on Twitter.

Truth Social is also involved in the competition.

Former US President Donald Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, was created to compete with Twitter. Trump has not returned to Twitter, even after Elon Musk lifted his ban. Although Forbes considers Truth Social a flop, it gives competition to Twitter and will also challenge threads.
