Monthly Updates: MAY - JUNE

Monthly Updates: MAY - JUNE

By Timmytushoes | CasualCrypto | 1 Jun 2021

So I'll post a general overview of my experiences with different cryptocurrency earning platforms, games, and apps and post them in an article once a month, starting on the 1st week of a month. In these, I will outline any minor information I have learned, and I will go into my earnings, the level of effort, whether I think it's worth it or not, etc. etc. So be sure to check back each month for these updates! You'll also get to see sneak peaks at games, articles, and apps that I am currently working on!

So, just a disclaimer, lots of these things I have not covered in past articles! I am trying not to be too 'spammy' with my posts, and I am trying to balance them out so that each week, there is some opinion, some advice, new games, and new opportunities that I will go into. I don't want to spam the blog with referral links and tell you guys about new opportunities without exploring them a little bit initially, and also I want to give you guys a bit more value than that, as it feels kind of awkward for every other article to essentially be "I tried this, here join through my referral link". So bear with me, there WILL be articles coming on everything I talk about in here, but those of you who are following now are basically getting a sneak peak at what's to come! :)

I do not include my investments in this, these are purely the programs and opportunities I am checking to try and find low cost and free earning opportunities, as such, there will not be any stocks or crypto holdings specifically mentioned here unless they have earning potential that is either free or very low cost.

Wallets:

Wax Wallet: In total, I am earning about 0.12 Wax a day off of my staked Wax, so about 3 Wax a month. I also am claiming free NFTs via AtomicHub and NeftyDrops wherever possible, which has earned me upwards of 15-25 Wax a month. I got to this point largely through using Alien Worlds and these free drops to upgrade my RAM and CPU, however, this process will be much slower for anybody who missed the larger earning periods for Alien Worlds.

  • Do I recommend this? Of anything on this list, you need a Wax Wallet to do 90% of the games I mention, the others require Hive. I believe that Wax Wallet will be a solid investment to upgrade now, in order to capitalize on new upcoming Wax based games going forward. I think that with each new 'big' game there will be a window where you can heavily upgrade your Wallet.
  • Recommendations: I recommend using Alcor Exchange to buy some Wax, or swap for it via TLM. This will quickly net you some CPU and RAM for claiming New NFTs to Sell and for mining or doing more transactions in AlienWorlds or Koloboks. You will also earn staking rewards daily from your staked CPU, and your RAM can be resold later on when you have freed up your storage space (by selling NFTs

Valora App: This is a CELO wallet, and by having more than $10 CUSD, you were eligible to earn $.25 a week in Celo. So, so far I have earned about 1.25 from this. It's not a huge amount of earnings, but it is something, and because of the current dip, you are receiving CELO that is undervalued and will likely appreciate very quickly once the market fully recovers.

  • Do I recommend this? This is not a free earning opportunity, because of the way Valora is funded, you will need to put in a minimum of 25. If you put in 100 you will earn 5 per month, or 1.25 a week, and if you put in 500, you will earn 10 per month. I completely recommend up to the 100 amount if you have the disposable income to do so (for maximum returns, percentage wise, 500 for 10 a month is only 2%, versus a 10% rate and a 5% rate on the smaller values). Note: These do not average. 10 makes .25 a week, 50 makes .25 a week. You have to hit the next threshold to earn an additional amount. You can sign up through this link

Games:

Splinterlands: This is my favorite game currently. I love it, it's strategic, interesting, and holds a decent amount of value. I like that it requires only a small amount of time invested once for dailies each day. You can get cards, DEC, and bonuses each day, and every end of season which lasts 15 days. This one is a really great game that requires a $10 up front investment! If you'd like to join in, consider using my referral link here for a free card when you buy your summoner's spellbook! This card could be worth upwards of $100. Although it will likely be within the .10 - 1.50 Range.

I have definitely spent more than I earned on this game thus far, but that was largely due to my general enjoyment of the game. It is much more of a game than the other games on this list, and so I can't help but treat it more like a game than an investment. That being said, based on my 'free' earnings and card pulls, I have earned about $5 or more this month, and that was with very poor luck and pulls. (All DEC rewards under 50, no Gold cards, and a LOT of Potions I can't use) This number will grow as your collection and ranking grows, as each new top ranking you make will reward you with even more rewards every battle and every season cycle. I believe this number will triple, or more, by the end of the year and that's not counting the slow value appreciation of the cards as well.

To be exact, I have earned about 850 DEC, and my power has reached about 6000, which represents my collection's value. Silver League requires 15000 Power before I can begin to earn additional battle bonuses and rewards. I currently earn about 3 DEC per battle win, and my daily rewards are generally either a 5 cent card, or about 9-30 DEC. I earn 9 additional chests which could contain these rewards every 15 Days at Bronze I. All of these rewards also increase with each tier.

  • Do I recommend it? Ultimately, I think right now this game is engaging, and the rewards are a great bonus, and I believe it has great room to grow and is a very solid investment, game, and experience for anybody looking for a cheap (~$10) entry point into blockchain and NFT related gaming.
  • Recommendations: You need to invest $10 to begin actually earning with this app, however, I DO recommend buying idk, an additional 2-5 worth of credits so that you can buy a few cheap cards that will help you. These include the Chicken Card, the Sand Worm, the Goblin Mech, and the Corrosive Slime. These are Neutral cards that will REALLY help you as a Novice and they will help you win more with every elemental type.

Alien Worlds: This is the game I started with, and still use for value creation, as I really enjoy it with WaxWallet and the way it synergized with R Planet and Wax in general. Unfortunately, R Planet no longer gives value for staking Abundant items, which are the default items in Alien Worlds. I think this one has made me somewhere around 20-30 a month pretty consistently and I do enjoy it, although I am looking forward to the new features and news!

In the last month, I have earned about 60 TLM total, which totals about $12, this is likely my highest earnings currently from these free options.  This is lower than it was before, however it is nice that it did not dip entirely. I am hopeful that this value will climb back up on Binance and Thunderdome releases. I am considering upgrading to 3 Standard Drills, but I am hoping for a slight dip in value to grab the tools at.

I am also playing with Liquidity pools for TLM to WAX, however, currently this is not much and is offering no value.

  • Do I recommend it? Ultimately, I think this one is not much of a game, but the earnings speak for themselves, and it is the 'easiest' to do currently, however, it requires a lot of WAX staked in CPU for it to be optimal, and my earnings didn't get to this level in 1 month, it has been more like 2 and a half, and I am currently working with the next level of tools after Shovels. I think this one is a good investment, especially if thunderdome or binance cause a TLM spike. That being said, from a gaming standpoint, this one is one of the lowest on the list.
  • Recommendations: This game is not totally free anymore. You will need to stake Wax to CPU to earn, and your earnings will be very low initially. Do not stake TLM additionally, you will need it to convert to Wax in order to buy Standard Drills if you're a mostly free player. I also recommend you buy 2 Shovels when you start, which will increase your yield. I will show you how to equip 3 of the same item in a later article, OR you can search on here for other articles which will show you how! You can also ask in the comments!

Kolobok: Koloboks was my solution to R Planet, as it has stakable items so I can continue to gain Aether now that my AlienWorlds items no longer can be staked... But that's okay, now I am breeding these creatures and they aren't worth much, but they allow me to gain more Aether and additional staked Wax! In total, I have bred probably about 20-25 of these little 3 cent creatures, so I've made about a dollar off of breeding, if I ever decided to sell them. I've also made about 8 Rare Prizes, worth about 11 cents each, and 250 Kolobucks, which was worth about 20 cents total. All in all, I've made about dollars here, but the real value in this Kolobok game is the R Planet Staking, where I am currently up to 10 an hour from just Koloboks. This will grow exponentially from here, as I upgrade my Wax Wallet.

I plan to play with KBucks to WAX Liquidity in the future, but I have not started yet. I believe I will begin to do this with 50% of my Kolobucks earnings for next month and see how that works.

  • Do I recommend it? I enjoy it, it's basically a dark tomogotchi game, and it's very low effort, every day you breed and send a creature on a mission (I recommend the Bear mission!) and as you get more, you can make more Koloboks, which are pretty much worthless on their own, but they allow you to earn Prizes and Kolobucks, which you can use to earn AETHER on R.Planet. That being said, this one is exponential, your growth will be slow initially, but if you put in the time it will definitely increase. It ALSO has the benefit of requiring a TINY investment into RAM and Koloboks, which cost 1 to 3 cents each.
  • Recommendations: Buy 2 or more Koloboks to breed. Do NOT send them on adventures until you have, idk, 6? If you enjoy the game, buy a new adventure slot for Wax to gain twice the rewards. You can then buy a 3rd slot for Wax, and so on and so on. I recommend the Bear mission, as it will guarantee a RARE prize worth 1Aether/hr, Stake your Prizes on RPlanet/Staking for additional Wax.

R.Planet: The only thing I have done with R.Planet currently, is staked items. I am currently staking 1 Alien Worlds COMMON and about 11 Koloboks RARES. I have earned about 3000 Aether. I am planning to use this Aether to buy some Elements which I will also stake in order to maintain a consistent income of Aether. My earnings took a very heavy hit after they adjusted the NFT Staking rewards for 3rd Party NFTs and it also took a hit when they removed Abundant Alien Worlds NFTs. I plan to mitigate that by buying into their own NFTs, which they claim they will not nerf.

I am hoping to mess with AETHER to TLM and AETHER to WAX Liquidity in the future, but first I want to secure some fixed staking rewards from Elements.

  • Do I recommend it? Currently, I don't even really play R Planet, but I DO recommend it if you are using Koloboks or any other supported collections for Staking, this will allow you to earn on items you are not using. Since it comes with a Wax Wallet, it does not require much effort to do.
  • Recommendations: Kolobok Rare and Epic prizes will get you 1+ Aether/hr each This number will decrease the more players stake these prizes. At 10000 Aether, you should buy one of Rplanet's Elements, as these will have guaranteed Aether/Hr, no matter how many get staked.

Kryptomon: This game has not released yet, but my referrals have kept me in the top 1000 and I will update you on how this works out. No real update or recommendation here though as it is currently down for creating a new account.

Farsite: Pretty much the same as Kryptomon, but you CAN still join here via my referral link I am super excited about this one, but it has not launched yet. You can currently earn free drops early and get access to special crates by joining early though and I fully recommend it!

Mobile Games:

Upland Mobile: Upland is a bit weird, on the one hand I am progressing very well. I am unsure of the current value, but, if we assume that we can 'sell out' at about the same amount of USD as UPX, which is 1:1000, then I have a net worth of about 90,000 UPX, with a passive income of 1500 UPX per month. Converted to USD, I have spent about $30, which has then turned into about $90, plus $1.50 per month. I believe this could potentially be a very good investment if it keeps going like this, but it will depend entirely on how cashing out works once fiat for properties go through and how much smaller properties will actually be worth in USD.

  • Do I recommend it: Yes, but your timing will be crucial in this game. You NEED to get in on a city release and be able to amass a large amount of FSA (Newbie friendly) properties in order to begin amassing networth and you WILL have to pay about $10 in order to gain permanent access to your assets (becoming an Uplander instead of a Visitor). Otherwise you will lose all assets if you do not log in and 'stamp' your visitor stamp every 7 days.

Crypto Treasures: Crypto Treasures is a game that is part of the Phoneum set of games, and it is my current favorite, as it creates the most Phoneum, and also earns small amount of micro Crypto, although the withdraw rates mean I will likely never capitalize on these other crypto, and as such, I am focusing on amassing Phoneum instead. In total, I have earned about 8000 Phoneum, or about $2.50 a month from just this game ON TOP of the crypto earned, which ended up being about 1$ across multiple types. I cannot withdraw any yet, however. You can earn 200 Phoneum right now by joining via this code: 536gxgna. In total, this game takes about 10-15 minutes a day to do all of the associated tasks.

  • Do I recommend it: Yes, out of the Phoneum games, I believe this one is one of the best, as it provides a high amount of Phoneum AND you can earn other crypto as well. This one is also the one connected to Staking making it the most important one by default as it does not require 20k transferred from 1 app to another to begin staking.

Crypto Planet: Crypto Planet is another Phoneum game, which earns a bit of crypto, but also grants about 2000-4000 Phoneum a month as well ON TOP of the crypto earned. I could earn more Phoneum here, likely almost as much as Crypto Treasures, but I HATE the mini games, so I am treating this one as a smaller time investment, in total, I have about 3000 Phoneum on this one, which is about $1. You can earn 200 Phoneum right now by joining this code: z7647f8m. In total, this game would likely take abotu 15-20 minutes a day to do all of the associated tasks, I just dislike the mini games as they do not work well on my phone. It must be transferred to Crypto Treasures or Earn Phoneum to begin Staking.

  • Do I recommend it: Potentially, I don't think it earns as much as the others, and the mini games don't work  right on my phone, but if they work on yours, this one would be equal to Crypto Treasures

Crypto Cards: Crypto Cards currently does not have a payout, as you only get large amounts of Phoneum from completing collections, and then you only can get cards through videos, phoneum, and ads. This means that it does not pay much Phoneum, although if I did not try to progress, I would likely earn about 2500-5000 Phoneum a month here as well. This game does not earn other types of Crypto, so keep that in mind. This one does not have a referral code, like the others. Or if it does, I have not found it yet. I think this one actually has the highest earning potential once you start to complete collections. These reward 5000, 10000, up to 50000 Phoneum. In total, I have earned about 6000 Phoneum here, which is worth about $2. Minimum Withdraw is 20000. It must be transferred to Crypto Treasures or Earn Phoneum to begin Staking.

  • Do I recommend it: Yes, this one is the next best one after Crypto Treasures, though it does not offer additional crypto earnings.

Green Planet: This one is like Crypto Planet, but new. You slowly amass cards which are supposedly for green environmental impact features, instead of crypto, and you can slowly amass Phoneum as well. This one I primarily use to attempt to offset some of the energy usage of crypto in general. You can earn 200 Phoneum right now by joining via this link! I have earned the least from this one, however, I am also not playing the mini games for this one very often. In total, I have earned about 1500 Phoneum. You could likely make 2500-3000 total by playing the mini games.

  • Do I recommend it: Honestly, not really. Currently it is the lowest earner for me, it does not earn additional crypto, and the mini games don't work, similar to Crypto Planet, without the benefit of added crypto. I think this one is only good if you are environmentally conscious and would like to earn a bit and also reduce your footprint caused by crypto. Otherwise, I think this one is going to be a no long term.

Merge Cats: This one is very slow paced, but it is idle and exponential, passively growing each day, and I will continue to update on it for the next year. In total, I have gained about 1500 Soul, which is the game currency. This is worth about $1.75. I actually quite enjoy this one, because it is very passive, and not very invasive with ads, it just makes it easy. If you'd like to sign up, check it out here. You can join through this link here! You can also use my code here: 501406

  • Do I recommend it: I have a good feeling about this one, but right now, for a 1 month investment, it is not really worth it. However, in the last 2 weeks, my Soul went from about 300 to 1500, so I believe I am just starting to hit the point where I start to earn, and so this might become a recommend after a couple months

Idle Crypto Miner: Another idle game, this one hasn't earned much more than the initial currency either, so it is currently ranked at the bottom. You can earn 200 Hora, their currency, by using my Referral link here.! I've earned about 900 Hora Tokens total, unfortunately minimum withdraw is 10000 Hora... I do enjoy this one, but it feels very slow. This total is also only worth about 9 Cents, making it one of the lowest earners this month. I will try not to judge it off of initial growth, but I am skeptical of its value already, after only a month and a half. We will see if its growth rate allows it to catch back up to the others on the list.

  • Do I recommend it: Currently, I do not recommend this one. As of right now, I have owned this one probably the longest, and I have earned by far the least on it. This might change long term, as I gain more resources and climb the leaderboard, but currently it is not even remotely worth it to me.

Mobile Mining:

Pi Network: Pi Network is alright, I have recruited some people and have decent earnings as a result, but the implementation of monetization features and the team sort of 'cashing out' with ads is a little concerning, but I still feel this one has the highest likelihood of being legitimate and creating actual value. You can get started with Pi and a 0.05 bonus to your earnings/hr with this referral link just use the code timmytushoes. In total, I have earned 205 PI, which is exciting. Keep in mind this does NOT have an associated value currently. We are likely to see a halving of the mining rate, or possibly a complete stop on new miners once there are 100M Users, currently there are 18M, and just a few months ago we were only at 1M, so it will be coming fast.

  • Do I recommend it: I think out of the mobile miners, this one I recommend the most, as it is the 'original', and it has the more legitimate team and backing. That being said, these miners may not pan out and please do not think they are on the same level as others.

Reflex Cloud Mining: Another one I have doubts on, this one mostly because it looks kind of janky, however, the currency is already listed on UNISWAP and has a value associated with it, so I continue to mine. I am sporadic about this one, as it requires you to renew your action every 3 hours, so I have not earned the maximum amount that I could this month. I am excited about the staking options available for this one, but will not be able to utilize it until 500 Reflex. You can join through my code, which will instantly give you 30 RFX, which is a LOT of time saved mining by using this code in the app: 95371. I am currently at about 150 RFX Total, I am hopeful to reach 500 RFX ASAP so that I can begin Staking.

I've also found out about Reflex Space Hunting, which has allowed me to earn an additional 70 RFX via this app, which has a 2000RFX Withdraw, so it might be a while before I see if this one leaves some value. If you want to sign up for this one, you can use my code here: 22552, which will grant you... something. Let me know! (The app doesn't actually say, but I imagine its ALSO 30 RFX).

RFX is worth about .003 currently, so this is currently worth only about 65 cents.

  • Do I recommend it: I'm iffy on this one, it has established value, and while it is VERY low earnings, it IS earnings. Because of this, I will rank it alongside Pi as something I recommend, but with the caveat that you will earn very little with this one, whereas Pi you could earn much more, or nothing at all.

Cloud Earning PHT: I'm super excited about Phoneum, because it has a value and it's connected to the Crypto and Green Karma games mentioned early! These games reward you with Phoneum. The earnings you get weekly from Phoneum are sometimes really good, but sometimes absolutely horrid. I've earned 900 P a week, and I've earned 120 P a week. This seems to vary greatly and continues to decrease, unforunately. I am super excited about staking, and this is not the first month I have owned this, so I am at the 20000 total needed to begin staking, this should increase my weekly earnings. You can get started with 200 Phoneum with this referral code: 536gxgna

  • Do I recommend it: Honestly, by itself, this app is underwhelming. Initially, I earned about 500-600 a week, and now I am earning about 50 a week. This, paired with a 1% APM on its Staking, means that for every 20000 Phoneum I make on other games, I will be gaining an additional 200 per month. I believe this is worthwhile as a central staking hub for your Phoneum, but I do not think it is worthwhile on its own. It helps that this one is automatically integrated with your Phoneum balance on Crypto Treasures though. Meaning I would utilize it as soon as you hit 20k on Crypto Treasures in order to begin to exponentially increase your value.

Midoin Mining: So far, I have some doubts here, and am not entirely sold on the app, due to its reliance on ads, and a lack of user base with less than 3000 weekly miners. The mining rate is REALLY slow. That being said, I haven't recruited anybody, so you could make us BOTH earn 5x faster by joining via this link! Seriously, after leaving it on Auto Mining and refreshing it each day, I am at 0.016 Midoin. So... Hopefully that makes it more valuable? We will see...

  • Do I recommend it: Honestly, not really. This one might be worth something, but the mining rate is so slow. I don't even have Midoin yet. Until a value is established, I cannot say if this currency will be worthwhile, but at my current mining rate, it would have to be worth nearly $20 per Midoin to even rank in the bottom 5 of my earnings... However, if you are confident you can get a lot of referrals from friends, this one can explode exponentially, as each time you refer somebody, you AND their earning multiplier gets multiplied by 5x

Bee Network: I love the look, feel, and vibe of Bee Network, but its anonymous team is concerning. It's also a carbon copy of Pi, so I rate it less likely than Pi to succeed. That being said, I am also earning a decent amount on Bee from referrals and am hopeful that it will hold value eventually. It does not have security circles yet, so there is no real way to earn additional points besides referring, however, once this hits, earnings should increase again, which is exciting! You can get started with Bee and a 0.05 bonus to your earnings/hr if you use my code timmytushoes. I have reached about .35 Earn Rate from referrals and teams, and in total, I have made about 140 BEE. This is not currently worth anything, so we'll see how this goes!

  • Do I recommend it: This one is sort of a maybe? The team is anonymous, its a copy of Pi, but its very pretty and well executed. It might be worthwhile, and the earnings are a bit better than Pi Network, but I would say that Pi is a better option overall, and if you only choose 1, I would choose Pi.

Initiative Q: This one is purely referral based, and you earn Q each time you make a referral. You are given 14 days to refer up to 5 friends for a certain amount of points, after which. You can earn about 900Q just by joining via this referral link! This one is invite only, and will not be joinable without an invite link. I don't think I recommend this one, but I have earned about 3000Q thus far. When my 14 days finished, it told me that I can still invite friends and once I hit that Friends signed up, I will gain a new task. So, the good news is: No rush on getting referrals ;) Hopefully that helps some of you relax a bit and maybe want to test it out, which you could totally do through my referral link!

  • Do I recommend it: This one, like Midoin, will be DRAMATICALLY different if you can refer many people. If you have lots of friends who would join a weird crypto community for you, then this might be something I would recommend, but for the average person, I would not recommend this one.

Other:

Brave Browser: I am currently at just under BAT after a little over a month of using Brave Browser, with the recent dip and crash, this values at about 3.59 USD, which, while not as great, will certainly recover and I am excited to continue using Brave. It's a little bit less resource heavy than Chrome, more private, and it rewards its users for engaging with ads and product placements. I am fairly certain I will continue to use this, but this is only my first full month of utilizing it thus far, so we will see. The way I see it, I'm earning a small amount of BAT to receive the ads and notifications I would likely get from Google anyways. Plus the built in adblocker is far more effective than I expected, and a bit easier to use and deactivate/re-activate when compared to AdBlocker. There is no referral link for this guy, so you can just hop on it and get started now! You will need to earn about 25 BAT before you can withdraw into and create an Uphold Wallet.

  • Do I recommend it: Why haven't you downloaded it yet, of course I recommend this one. Seriously, I get no benefit telling you to go to Brave, you will earn BAT, it's easy, and the ads are REALLY minimal in terms of annoyance. This is as close to 'free' as you're gunna get.

Publish0x: I have earned about .10 a day off of tipping, and I am looking forward to utilizing these earnings in order to do test withdraws into both MetaMask and KuCoin soon, where I will make an article providing pros, cons, and reasons for doing each. Unfortunately, the dip put this further back and I am currently at about $4 in total, including artciles. For articles, I generally earn anywhere from .10 - .25 an article where I am actually writing. I do not earn more than like .03-.1 from posting articles about the different apps and mining games. This is of course because they have referral links and such. This is not much, but as you grow and build, you should see increases in this, as I have gained about 25 followers, learned when to post for better visibility, and this should see my earnings increase after this month, which was my first month publishing articles here on Publish0x. I believe I will not see significant growth in this for at least 6 months though.

  • Do I recommend it: I absolutely 100% recommend tipping as a reader on Publish0x. You will get currency, this currency will accumulate value overtime, and you will be able to withdraw to wallets like KuCoin and MetaMask, my biggest fear of Publish0x is that the tipping will be removed or severely dismantled. Get in on it while it's still here. As far as posting goes, I do not currently recommend it, but I am also only a month in with 25 followers, so my earnings are going to reflect the amount of exposure and views I can get, which obviously will be quite low in the beginning.

PreSearch: I just found out about the Presearch extension, which replaces your search extension and rewards you with PRE every day for simply searching. I have integrated this into Brave within the last couple of days and have earned about 5 PRE. I do not know much about this one yet, but checking the value, it is supposedly worth about 4 Cents per PRE. If you want to earn 25 PRE, you can join here. You will earn this once you have been active for 30 Days and earned at least 50 PRE, which based on my current earnings, shouldn't take more than a week or so.

  • Do I recommend it: I only started this a few days ago, what I will say so far, is that it is an objectively worse search bar than Google. For instance, no automatic translations, no calculations, and sometimes searches just don't show up. That being said, the annoyance will likely be worth the extra earnings and I will be withholding a recommendation for this month, as I simply haven't had enough time to work with it. If I were to guess my earnings next month, at the rate I am going I should earn about 4-5 dollars in PRE.

This is a blog specifically focused on the 'casual' cryptocurrency or nft person, that is, someone who is either new, and rightfully cautious of the area, risk-averse investors, and others who'd simply like to experience NFTs, Cryptocurrency, etc. in a safe way, without having to blow the bank. This blog is for alternative crypto interests, more so for gamers, micro investors, artists, and other aspects of NFTs and Crypto that don't fall under the concept of investing.
