Nissan wants to integrate DeepSeek into its cars

By LeftFooted | Cars & tech | 14 Feb 2025

Nissan's Chinese division, Dongfeng Nissan, wants to start integrating DeepSeek into its cars.

When I say its 'cars', I mean car, singular, because Nissan's joint venture with Dongfeng for China is only making one car, for now, and that's the N7.

A relatively large sedan at 4.93 meters, the N7 was specifically designed for China, and it's going to use DeepSeek.

DeepSeek took the world by storm, because no one was expecting an efficient, fast AI engine to come out of the woodwork, unannounced.

As for Nissan, the goal is implement self-driving, something you can basically only do with AI.
