Latest Sequoia update for Mac fixes a minor but very annoying issue (sort of)

After updating my Macbook Air to the latest Sequoia, I seem to have fixed a long-standing - minor but definitely annoying - issue with the laptop.

It has to do with AirPods.

One of the reasons why some AirPods users, including myself, are so fixated on AirPods is that they connect to all of your devices simultaneously and seamlessly switch from one to the other.

Except, they don't.

If you're listening to something on your laptop and your phone rings, AirPods will automatically switch from Mac to iPhone.

This is also true if you simply open anything on your phone that plays sound.

That doesn't happen in reserve, though.

If I'm using the AirPods on my phone and do something on Mac, they won't switch automatically. I have to do it manually. It's a bit slow, and a bit fiddly.

This is a bit better now.

It doesn't always switch, but it does most of the time. Still not perfect, but better than before.
