DeepSeek is already being integrated in electric cars

By LeftFooted | Cars & tech | 12 Feb 2025

Two Chinese automakers, Geely and Voyah, are already integrating DeepSeek in some of their models.

DeepSeek, a potential ChatGPT rival that everybody says is awesome, took the world by storm over the last few weeks, and obviously the main purpose of using AI in cars is obvious: autonomy.

Autonomy seems to be a major use case for AI, and the fact that the rise of AI has coincided with the rise of self-driving cars isn't accidental.

DeepSeek will be made available via OTA (Over-the-air) updates for some models but, predictably, only for cars sold in China.
