Like other luxury automakers, Bentley is focusing on custom made creations these days, giving its bespoke sub-branch Mulliner more resources and editorial freedom - let's call it that - than ever. This is their latest creation, the Bentayga Space Edition.
Mulliner has already designed over 100 different vehicles this year and this was built specifically for Bentley Orlando. For the exterior, they've used a unique dark metallic grey called Cypress with Orange Flame accents with matching dark grey wheels.
Under the bonnet, you'll find Bentley's ultra-powerful twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12, delivering 626 hp and a massive 664 lb-ft of torque. The top speed is 190 mph and more to the point, it does 0-60 in just 3.9 seconds, despite being heavier than a small planet.
The two-tone black and grey leather upholstery for the interior works brilliantly with the orange inserts and especially the Galaxy Stone fascia. Definitely my favourite part.
Some people dislike the Bentayga, SUVs in general and especially SUVs from brands like Bentley. I get it. But there's a first good reason why they keep building them: customers buy them.
Since 2016, when it was first introduced, has already sold 28,500 units, making it Bentley's best-selling model by a significant margin. And more to the point, well over 50% of Bentayga customers had never bought a Bentley before and this, in the car industry, is worth more than gold.
