By definition, it's a good product if you're using it

After about a year and a half of hesitation and after accidentally wasting money on a fake pair (I know, please don't rub it in), I decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair of AirPods Max.

They're expensive, and they're heavy, and they pinch quite hard, but I'm loving them.

Let's start with the good stuff.

The first and most important reason why people buy them is not the quality, it's the fact that they pair perfectly to everything Apple.

If I'm working while listening to some podcast or whatever, and I get a call on my phone, they automatically switch.

They're very 'smart', like they're constantly connected to both iPhone and Mac but when you hit the play button they somehow know which thing I want to play.

It's a quality item, clearly, you can tell. And noise cancellation works a treat.

Now the bad stuff.

I got a discount but even so, they're outrageously expensive. They're still technically priced at $550, which is insane.

They're also quite heavy, and they pinch quite hard unless you're used to over-ear headphones, which I'm not.

People say the fact they don't have an off button is a drawback, but I disagree.

They're basically always on outside of the case, which is actually quite convenient, and it doesn't really impact battery life because they go on low power mode when you're not wearing them so it doesn't matter.

This is something else that's great about them, because on-ear detection is absolutely spot on.

I'm using them a lot more than I thought and that, by definition, makes them a good product.

Or at least a good product for me.
