13 years ago today I drove my first press car.
It was also my first right-hand drive and of course my first electric car. I'm very proud of that because back then, no other journalist / media person I knew had even heard of Tesla, especially in Italy. And I did it by myself. I had to negotiate with Tesla, with no credentials and no formal training. And they still said yes. Maybe they were just desperate, lol. I drove the car around London for a few hours, and I got in trouble for parking the car literally in Trafalgar Square but it was worth it. The first Tesla was based on the Lotus Elise, it was uncomfortable, the infotainment was horrible and the range wasn't that good. But it was, dare I say 'backbreakingly', fast. Your back literally hurt because the acceleration was brutal. But fun.
