Online line gaming and mining are great for earning crypto for free but I realized I have yet to share one of my favorite apps that I run practically 24/7. The Coin App can only be run on IOS or Android. A bit of history on the Coin App as posted to their page:
Launched in early 2019, COIN is a mobile app enabling over 1 million users to earn digital assets for validating geospatial location data when traveling, commuting, jogging or moving about the real world while interacting with each other and enjoying in-app challenges.
The part I want to focus on is the "earn digital assets". The asset they are referring to is the cryptocurrency XYO. If you'd like to know more about XYO I encourage you to dive into the whitepaper, the currency is not what I will be focusing on in this post. Perhaps in a future post if there is interest in that. The way the Coin App works is that players run the app on their phone, either in the foreground or background, and earn in-game COIN. They have a few options on what to do with that COIN which we will get into later.
How does COIN work?
Once players find it on their respective devices all they have to do is download it and they can start earning immediately. One super important and necessary setting that has to be turned on is location services. The reason that location services have to be enabled is that the COIN App works by using geolocation or geomining. When players have the app running whether they are at home or out and moving about in the real world, the app can automatically geomine and the digital asset that it's mining is COIN.
While it's possible to mine without creating an account, I would highly suggest that you create an account. If something goes wrong and it deletes from your phone or resets, there is no way to retrieve that COIN that a player has mined unless they have an account. In order to create an account, all you need is an email address. This also allows for players to pick up where they left off mining should you upgrade your phone.
How to Redeem COIN?
Players will have to reach 10,000 COIN before they are able to redeem/exchange it for XYO. On an important note, the first redemption is free. Following redemptions, players must have a minimum of 50,000 COIN and there is a gas fee typically between 9,000-12,000 COIN. This fee will vary not just daily but hour to hour.
COIN just introduced the ability to redeem COIN for XYO through Coinbase - if you do not have a Coinbase account I highly recommend one. Not just for the ZERO gas fee but also it's a great way to earn free crypto through their learn and earn program. I added the image below from my learn and earn rewards. That is not actually $59 USD in your account but, various types of crypto that equal $59 USD. You can then sell, trade, or keep the crypto that you have earned for learning about it. If you use my link to create an account you will receive $10 in Bitcoin once you have bought or sold $100 or more on Coinbase.
Sweepstakes
Redeeming COIN for XYO is not the only way to use it. Players can also enter sweepstakes for items like the Oculus Quest 2, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, 100K XYO, Apple iPad, and more. They will tend to do the sweepstakes for the same items, occasionally adding something new to the mix but iPad, XboX, Playstation 5, and XYO have been on the list for a good while now. I see that continuing into the future.
Redeem Prizes with COIN
In addition to the sweepstakes entries, players are also able to purchase items right from the COIN site by exchanging their COIN . I've taken a snapshot to share what kinds of items you can purchase and what the cost of COIN is. Whether it's worth it or not depends on what your goals are. Some people earn COIN to purchase items and resell them, others are in it for the XYO. You get to play this your way.
How to Maximize Earnings
There are a couple of ways that players can increase the amount of COIN they make. There is an option to purchase a SentinelX BLE or a SentinelX NFC. Both of these items do the same thing and help the player in earning 12X rewards when mining rather than their usual 1X reward but there are a few differences in the functionality between the Sentinel X BLE and the SentinelX.
SentinelX BLE
The SentinelX BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is a device that players can connect to the COIN App on their devices. This connection boosts players earning potential to 12X AND if this player is paying for a premium COIN subscription (which we will get into later) they can also earn a 10% boost from someone else's mining.
Just a bit about the tech involved. The range on the SentenalX BLE is up to 150ft, it has a battery life of up to a year and it is replaceable.
SentinelX NFC
The SentinelX NFC is the Sentinel that I personally own and use. You can have this Sentinel sent to your home for shipping only, I'll be providing a link but I do want to caution anyone who is going to request a SentinelX NFC for free - COIN WILL START A 3 DAY TRIAL with the email that you use to order the card. Make sure that 1- you have it attached to your COIN account email so you can use the 3 day trial and 2- make sure you cancel it. If you do not cancel this subscription it will continue charging you monthly $39.99 a month until you cancel it.
The earning bonus with this Sentinel are the same as with the BLE. The two main differences with the NFC is that it does not need a battery and it is not Bluetooth so players need to have an NFC reader on your phone (check your phones capabilities here)AND you have to tap it to your phone every 4-12 hours depending on whether you have a subscription or not. Without a subscription players must rescan the card every 4 hours.

Subscriptions
Players have the option to maximize on their rewards if they decide to start a subscription plan with COIN which is a monthly reoccurring subscription. The advantages of a subscriptions plan is that it increases geomining rates, faster recharge rate so that you can mine quicker, and an increased chance at hitting big geomines.
Another advantage to the plan is the SentinelX sharing, which means that when another player with a subscription plan is near, you both earn an extra 10% of the other players mining. Remember you always have the option to try it for 3 days and cancel if you don't like it. The subscription is best for those who are commuters.
I've attached a screen shot of a big geomine I hit, while using COIN Pro plan and even without much traveling I tend to hit one once every few weeks. I would assume if I traveled more it would be more often. I've also attached the multiple options you will have to chose from when looking int the subscriptions. I've only used COIN Master on the 3 day trial and it was amazing how quickly all the functions were but $100 per month is a bit much for me and wouldn't pay off in the end.
