By Daniel Pinkowski | Business Strategy | 25 Jan 2019

After being in the computer business for over 45 years I know what is a waste of time and money.

I have reviewed three of the popular USB miners and here is the facts.

Moonlander 2

  • Cost $59.99 on Amazon

  • Power Consumption 10 watts

  • Hashes between 3MH/S - 5MH/S

  • Mines Lt Coin Only

So now you know the facts now let's doing a little math and see how much do you gain or lose?

Basing on the current price of LTC = $32.86 the cost of the unit would get you almost 2 LTC at today's price

Giving this unit a Hashing power of (5MH/S )( a pool fee of 1%), and electric cost at (.10 per KWh) here are the totals

Profit per day                Mined/day                              Power cost/Day
  $-0.01                        .0003645                                $0.02400
Profit per week             Mined/week                             Power cost/Week
$-0.08                          .002552                                  $0.1680
Profit per month            Mined/month                           Power cost/Month
$-0.40                           .01094                                    $0.7200
Profit per Year               Mined/Year                            Power cost/Year
$-4.43                         0.13330                                    $8.76

so with all of the up front investment and cost of electricty for one year you could have at least 2 LTC

with this unit it will take you 15 years to get 2 LTC.
