Reason to Use BTC

When demand is growing faster than the supply, this is the basic reason why we are seeing a larg spike in BTC price.  The best part of this is that because BTC is set up to only have a finite amount of BTC ever, the possibilities start to become endless.  Think about it- there are definitely more people on Earth than there ever will be BTC.  Basic priciple of economics tells us that when supply out paces the demand the opposite happens and price drives down.  With more and more people coming into wanting to understand Bitcoin and crypto currency in general, it makes sense that the demand will remain there, causing the influx of valuation.

Bitcoin is truly one of a kind simply because it started the whole thing.  Something that could not be counterfeited and was open for all to see.  The public Blockchain enables everyone to review any address they want and see the whole "bank book" for that address- transactions, balances, everything.  This open source makes it unique in that, the info and transactions to a particular address is visible but who the actual owner is, remains a mystery.

The biggest reason to use Bitcoin is that it is NOT controlled by any centralized party and therefore not susupect to inflation.  Granted, "whales" can buy and sell and manipulate the market to some extent but again, with the wide open visibility of order books and all the information readily available to the public, the market doesn't seem to stay manipulated too long.

At the end of the day it benefits society to use something that gives them freedom, allows transparency and enables the chance to take advantage of a technology much needed- just ask those living in hyperinflated countries like Venezuela.  Bottom line is that as long as we show interest and understand that new technology is something to embrace and not be scared of, Bitcoin will be useful for many years to come.
