By far Brașov is my heart city, even though my hometown is 295.773 miles ( 476 km ) away from where I live now, it is a great feeling to go out and see the mountains around you, to go in the nature and enjoy the music of the trees and the sounds of the birds.
I will take you through the story of Brașov where you can visit it through your imagination.
Let`s go (^_^)
Why now and why Brașov ?
The answer to this question is easy, there is no other better time than now. First time I have installed this game I checked my country, I couldn`t find anything to buy, tried several cities and I understood that the game didn`t expand in Romania, I would love to have the opportunity to be a pioneer in the exploration of this NFT metaverse in Brașov. I will create a brilliant article with short text and more images and videos so whoever choses to read this will be enjoying the content of moving images and static images. So below you will find several reasons why players would love to explore Brașov in Upland, and why not even other cities from Romania.
Before I start sharing more information about special places or Iconic landmarks on the city, I invite you to watch this short video about amazing Brașov.
Brașov a city for tourists!
This is a tourist city which has lots of things to visit, from natural parks, adventure parks, sky resorts, buildings with amazing architecture, several museums, old churches, the Citadel Hill , catacombs, Solomon's stones and many more.
The most Iconic landmark is the Brașov sign on the Tâmpa mountain which is almost 3150 ft high, it is the highest point from the city, to get there you can take a hike of approximate an hour where you can walk and even have the opportunity to see wild squirrels in the trees and feel the breeze blowing in your hair - the best period to hike up is on a sunny day. When you got at the top you will be able to enjoy a view of a million words.
Dont` forget to take several photos while you are up there, to remember the moment years later when you look at them.
There are legends in regards of this 3150 feet tall mountain, that below it there is a huge lake that is a remnant of a prehistoric sea, the evidence they have is by the all freshwater springs that are at the base of the mountain. Enough of history lets focus on the present.

You can see the whole city, even a part of the old one in the left and the new one from center and to the right, the energy is brilliant so if you want to have fun there are many ways and you can meet up with students and party or go out and dance or even enjoy sports. From the top of the mountain you will be able to see a panoramic view of the city which in the last 3 years expanded in size and population.
This community continues to grow and expand because the energy of the nature and of the people which are one is balanced, it is lovely.

Brașov has a huge history in its architecture.
Let`s move through downtown of Brașov, a special place is the Rope Street which in romanian is called "Strada Sforii" which was built for the firemen of 15th century to move faster to the other side of the walls, it is almost 263 feet long ( around 80 m ), though it width has a maximum of 53.1 inches and the minimum of 43.7 inches ( 111-135 cm ). When you visit Brașov that is one cool place to take a photo, since it is the 3rd most narrow street in Europe.
Wondering through the city with your head up, looking around and noticing clearly the hundreds of heads that are mounted on the architecture of the houses that were created in style in the last several hundred years.

Another Iconic landmark is the Black Church, this name became used just before 20th century, the old name is Church of Saint Mary. It is a gothic style church built in 14th century built for the german community that settled at the bottom of the mountain. The church has 292 feet in length ( 89 m ) and 214 feet high ( 65 m ) and around 125 feet wide ( 38 m ).
Inside the church you will find one of a kind in East Europe, if you want to enjoy the sound of it click on the play button in the embeded video below.

The Citadel Hill which you can see in the image below was one defense point outside of the city in the beginning of 15th century, in the present the city is restoring it into a restaurant, this is another place to visit from where you can see the city, a great view from above. This city is a medieval jewel which is expanding more and more further. At the moment you cannot get inside the citadel since they are making improvements, but in the next year it is very possible that it will be open to the public to be visited within its quarters.
Whenever you want to relax you can go around the Citadel and even have a picnic with your darling one.

Downtown in the Council Square you can enjoy lots of restaurants and shops for souvenirs or even fast food carts or ice cream carts and museums, the main building in the image is the history museum, this building was the old townhall before it was transformed into a museum. Here is a great place to take a photo of the sign of Brașov through the buildings from the Council Square.
By the way here in the same place, in the Council Square it is held annually The Golden Stag Festival which is the most popular Romanian song contest.

Around it you can see many businesses and more on the right side there is a wide pedestrian street which is called Republicii Street, in the medieval era it was the main street of the city. Now it is full of shops and restaurants where you can enjoy the moment with family or friends, or you can have a coffee by yourself at one of the terrace.
You will always enjoy a walk on this street, or even sitting on a bench and enjoying the movements of all the beautiful beings around you.

The train station was painted in the colors of the Romanian flag in 2018 with the occasion of the centenary of the Great Union, The centenary is the commemoration of 100 years after all the provinces inhabited by Romanians were united in 1918 in the same national state, Romania.
In the summer if you want to eat something, there are some trees in front of the train station that have some red fruits that are delicious.

And inside the train station in the same year and with the same occasion there were other modernization works, on the wall inside when you enter the Station are painted: the Council Square, Șchei Gate, the defense towers of the Brașov Citadel - so it will be more appealing for the tourists.
You can also get food or maybe something to read inside the train stastion.

Since we are talking about paintings, let me mention also the mural that was painted downtown in the following year 2019, on the walls of Franciscan monastery (the monastery was built approximately in the year 1507) the mural was painted by IRLO and Baciu Alex.
It is great to take some time and sit on a bench, listen to music and study the mural on the walls.

This summer the first underground museum was opened in the catacombs of Brașov, where the young artist used different ways to create optical effects, reflections and illusions. These new galleries were used in the 30s-40s as an anti-aircraft shelter and depot and Amural Association managed to make a good use of that abandoned space in partnership with the Town Hall of Brașov. You will find that some of the works are dynamic, interactive in regards to the static ones, the installations of light, digital art, everything as one is showing concept of new media.
Check out their facebook page clicking here.

If you arrived in Brașov in the summer you have to visit Aqua Park which is an outside park or Aqua Paradise which is inside the building, the price is so small that you can enjoy a full week in there, I am joking you should not stay that much in water or your skin will get wrinkly.
Remember you are not allowed to pee in the water.
