Impressionable Experiences
Seeking the Inner Spirit
"Honor They Protector and Thy Supporter"
2003
I long to return to my spirit
My core has been separate for a while.
Three quarters and a mile
Since I walked into this spot.
For at least five miles or more
My depressions I have ignored.
For those miles I felt the trials
Each led me back to the same marker.
Life forced me into the glove-box
Where all of the messes reside.
Realization set itself in deep
It was then that I could not cheat.
Pulling out my atlas once more
I've gone sifting through my core.
In facing myself I am the enemy
It never came from out there.
Me, myself, and I,
The child, the father and mother,
All rolled into myself.
