Impressionable Experiences
Seeking The Inner Spirit
"At The Movies"
1996
I've spent all my life
At the movies alone
In a giant theater all by myself.
Every seat around me is vacant
As the previews are displayed.
I look at them with little interest
Though they are like premonitions
Of the things to come.
As each new movie begins
I long to be a part.
I want to be in the picture
Instead of on the outside
Looking in.
I relate to each character
As if I can feel them
Tears roll down my cheeks
And the end again
All alone in a theater
For a lifetime.
