There once was a man

Whose name was Jefferson

He wrote of equality without ban

Speaking of a country together as one.

His words were these

Of Life and of Liberty

A passion for pursuing happiness

Who could have known he'd be blasphemous?

I ask at what cost?

For one's happiness

Is another's loss

That in itself is hazardous.

American children are taught

Growing into adults who are distraught.

When will the madness stop?

As pillars pile down into rocks.

Where is the cap in capitalist?

If you ask he who is rich

He'll only answer with a lisp.

Intelligence has been thrown to the pit.
