"The Kernel of the Lie"
2004
In bowling the medic said,
That the enemy should be dead.
Personal promises between the eyes,
His true enemy is the lies in disguise,
Unaware the soldier is,
A Bush whispers the oil is his.
Sadly innocence has been sacrificed.
A medic watches them drop about like flies,
Unable to deal with his loss,
Misguided anger becomes his boss.
The young soldier's only true solace,
Is continuing to buy into the cruel farce.
For one cannot tell him that he is wrong,
It is the medic's death to sound the gong.
Protection for him is buying stock in Saddam
For this is the dying soldier's song.
