Childhood Innocence

"Purple Wildflowers"

The grass is a healthy green,

Dancing in the glaring sun.

Each ray carefully teasing,

Each little blade of grass.

A little girl walks in its soft touch,

And her little feet and toes,

Are massaged with tender care.

There is a slight wind,

But it is very gentle.

It sends a message,

The message is the smell,

Of purple wildflowers.

The flowers are smiling,

Because their strong message,

Has reached someone,

A little girl in the middle,

Of an array of dandelions,

She picks a couple,

And smiles,

Very happy and joyfully,

Runs to mommy,

And mommy smiles,

The message of purple wildflowers

Has been sent to another.
