There wont be Nothing like Ethereum 2.0 - The Merge, Surge, Verge, Purge, and Splurge of the Ethereum Blockchain

By Brainardpaul | brainerdpaul | 5 Feb 2022

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin have purposely scrapped what they refereed to as Ethereum 2.0. The interesting thing now is that Eth 2.0 has been split into five different upgrades. Which includes the merge, the surge, the verge, the purge, and the splurge. Another interesting thing is that the founder said it would probably take six more good years to get it completed. With this been said there is something positive to take from this updates when he said Ethereum only needs the merge and the surge to basically acheive the Ethereum 2.0 vision. Which translate to the fact that these two updates would introduce proof of stake and sharding to Ethereum, and this will come before the end of this year.

Furthermore, if eventually Ethereum pull off its objectives, it will be a win win for Ethereum holders as it will power an extremely substantial part of our infrastructure for quite a good number of years. But this does not automatically mean high valuation though, but with this plan it would come as a surprise if it doesn't step up with a high value. Consider this not as a valuation of ETH, but rather as a value of the security of a global network in which the next generation of applications will be built on top of.

Please that this is in no way a investment advice. It is take my view on the scrap and the benefits it could present. Thanks for reading. And please do not forget to follow for more updates.
