2026 promises to be interesting. Aside from my main releases, I plan to drop a Deep House remix of the soundtrack from the movie "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle" (1984).

I think I'll finish it by mid-summer. A rough draft is already ready, and it is already better than the original, but I want more, so I will continue to "polish" it.

In 2026 Millennium Media studio bought the copyrights to the franchise and plans to shoot a new movie "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle". The cast has not been approved yet, but reports suggest the producers want to move away from the "fairytale" style. They aim to make a tough survival-action movie, similar to their other global hits like "The Expendables" or "Rambo". This implies a bigger budget and a more serious tone.

Regarding "Sheena" from 1984 and Tanya Roberts, I have a special attitude towards this film and image. Mom took me to the cinema in 1988 when I was 5, and at that moment little Bogdan fell in love for the first time! :D The film had an idiotic script, but the consciousness of a 5-year-old child is not picky. And the image of a beautiful blonde riding a zebra half-naked remained with me for life as a certain ideal.

Some facts from the filming:
 The zebra was not real. Zebra anatomy does not allow for riding (they have a weak back), plus they are wild and aggressive, they bite and are not trainable. That is why they took a trained white horse for the film and simply painted it "under a zebra." This added trouble, because in the heat the animal sweat made the paint run, and the stripes constantly had to be renewed.
 Filming took place in Kenya for 7 months (started August 21, 1983). Tanya Roberts recalled the work as dangerous: the actors lived in tents, wild animals ran around, and armed guards could not always guarantee safety. For example, in the scene with the rhino, a mechanical doll was used because the real animal was too dangerous to get close to.
 Once a real rhino actually went crazy and attacked the group, so people had to save themselves in the trees.
 Premiere took place on August 17, 1984.
 Failure at the box office: with 25 million invested, they collected only 5.7 million, obviously due to that same stupid script. But in the USSR, the film was a success because it was one of the first "swallows" from the West (the unspoiled Soviet audience watched this with their mouths open).
 Tanya Roberts' age was lowered by 6 years. In the 1980s, it was stated that she was 29 years old in the role of Sheena. While Tanya (real name Victoria Leigh Blum) was actually born in 1949, and in "Sheena" she was already 34-35 years old. This causes double admiration because she was in great shape in every sense.

Unfortunately, Victoria Leigh Blum has already left us (in 2021). I am writing this post and preparing a remix, in particular, to honor her bright memory. She truly left an indelible warm mark on my consciousness. I think this is what is called an "imprint" in psychology. We all have such imprints from early childhood. One of my personal imprints is a blonde beauty on a zebra.

So, we await the release of the new movie "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle" in 2026–2027. I really hope the movie won't be ruined by excessive "tolerance," and we won't see a Black half-Chinese Sheena with purple hair in this role. After all, Sheena is the embodiment of the European archetype of the goddess Artemis, and the canon should be preserved.

P.S. And which actress would you like to see in the role of the new Sheena? I think Anya Taylor-Joy is perfect for this role now, but I doubt that the Millennium studio can afford a star of this scale.
