DJ Bogdan Karasiov vs Britney Spears - Baby, One More Time (SchoolHouse Remix 2025) 🎥 🎼

Since the music is a combination of Eurodance and Deep House elements, I wouldn’t see a better alternative to label the style than "Euro House," if not for the importance of predictability. When people open a video labeled "Euro House," that’s exactly what they expect to hear. But the sound here is far from typical Euro House in its classic form. I also can't categorize it under my new style, wareHOUSE, as I’ve already defined clearly that wareHOUSE should be a blend of Eurodance, Deep House, and Industrial (which makes it "heavier"). So, the overall vibe of the music video gave me a hint for what to call this style, with its light "flowing" delivery: SchoolHouse.

I like the "school" style of clothing from the late 1990s to early 2000s, and it’s high time to integrate it into a broader subculture (for example, into House music festivals) without limiting it to associations with school or teenagers. Consider this: in various branches of rock music, there is a certain dress code by which you can immediately recognize a rock fan, emo, goth, punk, etc.

In House, we still don't have a similar distinct dress code, only a focus on comfort for dancing. My idea is to propose a dress code concept for House culture (for all age categories). This could organically fit into the club and festival scene, specifically by expressing a playful, youthful, and energetic image. Important: I’m not talking about directly copying the style, but rather creating a House interpretation of it.

"SchoolHouse Vibe" (visualization by DALL-E). I don’t like sneakers, but out of 50 visualization versions, where some were rated 5 and others 3, I chose the frame where everything is "conditionally a 4."

Some interesting facts from the history of the song "Baby, One More Time":

  • The song was rejected by other artists: Before it was offered to Britney Spears, the song was pitched to TLC and Backstreet Boys, but both turned it down.
  • The schoolgirl look in the video: Initially, the video had a different concept. It was Britney who suggested the school idea to director Joseph Kahn. As a result, the video, where Britney is dressed in a school uniform, became iconic.
  • The song topped the charts in many countries around the world, including the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada. "Baby, One More Time" sold over 10 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful singles in music history.
  • The song's melody became so popular and recognizable that Rolling Stone included it in their list of "500 Greatest Songs of All Time." It also made Billboard's list of the "100 Best Songs of the 1990s."
  • "Baby, One More Time" brought Britney Spears numerous awards and nominations. She received three Grammy nominations, solidifying her status as a new superstar.
  • The video was shot at Venice High School in Los Angeles, the same location where the iconic movie "Grease" featuring a young John Travolta was filmed. This added a nostalgic feel to the video for older generations—and for me too, honestly.
  • Britney's schoolgirl outfit has become a popular Halloween costume and remains trendy to this day (2025).

P.S.
I removed the Jera rune from my name because it worsened searchability. The idea to add the rune instead of the letter "a" came to me around the beginning of summer 2024, when I found out there are at least three other artists using the name "DJ Bogdan." I wanted to add some uniqueness without changing the name entirely. Now I see that, technically, it was a mistake, even though it looked original (DJ Bogdᛃn). It’s too late and not practical to come up with a fundamentally different name, so I’ll just have to add my last name to it.
