My rational idea of releasing tracks daily in the third decade of March (well, at least short reels) has faced implementation challenges, despite the large number of drafts and samples accumulated over the past year. Yesterday, I finished only around midnight and thought that publishing a track so late made no sense. No one would listen to dance music on a Sunday night going into Monday. However, releasing my track on Monday morning to be played in the car could be quite appropriate and energizing.

Yet, the drafts (and accumulated experience) are now helping me a lot. The same samples of Dr. Alban's "It's My Life" were cut and remixed by me back in the summer of 2024, and I've worked on them multiple times since. Now, this bass-heavy rendition is fully realized in my style, which is becoming distinctive and recognizable, and that undoubtedly makes me happy.

I went to bed around 1 a.m. last night, and by 4 a.m. Kyiv time, I was already awake. You see, you can't blast club music in your headphones all day and remain in the same emotional state. My nervous system is now overstimulated, but in a positive way, not anxious. I don’t have the habit of "trying to fall asleep." Once my body said “enough” and woke me up, I decided to get up at 4. My eyes were burning after waking up, and my ears hurt like someone clapped both sides of my head. But after a strong cup of coffee, I started feeling better.

The video sequence today is entirely a product of my imagination; this time, I didn’t use any external GIFs. However, I used a whole orchestra of tools for video generation. First, I generated images using DALL-E, then animated them into GIFs with Luma Ray 1.6, Runway, and Kaiber King (which I used for the first time and was very pleased with its quality). I also accidentally got a small demo of the paid Luma Ray 2: it offers better detail and lower brightness, so everything looks more realistic. But Ray 2, like 1.6, often displayed contextual idiocy, so even in 5-second GIFs, I had to trim out the flaws, leaving only 2, or even just one and a half seconds of usable footage. In the end, only a 4-second fragment from Ray 2 made it into the clip. Efficiency is crucial to me, so I can't say I was impressed. However, Kaiber King had no such issues and produced better quality than Runway, so I give it a top rating and a pass.

So, I’m continuing to accumulate my own instrumental tracks, which I plan to complete with vocals by late spring or summer. Many decent tracks of mine were ruined because of the vocals, so I’ve already decided to be more meticulous with that. Right now, Google still ranks me lower for the "DJ Bogdan" query than another DJ Bogdan (from France), but that’s because he’s been publicly releasing music for about 10 years, while I’ve only been doing it for a year. However, in terms of views, some of my tracks have already matched what he’s achieved in 5 years, so I believe things will soon change. For me, it's not about proving who's better, but about ensuring that Google recognizes and distributes my content more effectively.

It's My Life (2025 Instrumental wareHOUSE remix by Dr. Alban)

The original track "It's My Life" by the (surprise!) SWEDISH artist Dr. Alban was released way back in 1992, so with my remix, I’m "landing" a whole 33 years later. I loved this song in school—it was on cassette, both for me and my friend Roman Demchenko. Roman didn’t live long enough to even see the war; he was killed at 18 in Znamianka at the Railway School, in a senseless street fight with some local thugs who just picked on him for being an outsider. That’s how fate works, and this damn life too. Some people die even in peaceful times, while my brother Misha Karasiov fought for 10 years defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion (from 2014 to 2024) and survived all those 10 years until he was killed in May 2024.

We have to appreciate every single day of life from the moment we wake up, because we’re all here only temporarily.
