There is now such as thing as “Ransomware-As-A-Service” (RaaS). A new ransomware- Avaddon, offers revenue-sharing for anyone who successfully deploy the software on unsuspecting victims.
“RaaS allows hackers to focus their efforts on malware development, rather than finding new places to deploy their attacks” according to cyber intelligence firm, DomainTools.
Another interesting point to note also is that these cryptohackers are favoring Monero (XMR) more and more, as Bitcoin (BTC) offers less privacy features.
