UPDATE:
My campaign is moving along. I have raised nearly 1/2 of the money Jack needs for travel. Generous friends and family have given $10 to $100 dollars to get me to this total.

GoFundMe allows withdrawal during the campaign and I have received enough to secure my application and get the ball rolling. The pet moving company has been in touch with Jack's vet and it seems I have covered all the necessary obstacles. Blood work has beed done and has been sent to a lab for FAVN testing. Results of that test should com in by March 15, which is a full month before his scheduled fly date of April 14.
The pet moving company will send me his travel cage so he can get used to it. Jack will have a roomy cage, extra large water bowls, a cooling mat, and a calming collar. I am not sure what a calming collar is, but I may need one too come flight day.
Original article:
Jack has been my best friend for 8 years. We drive together, fish together, camp together and have enjoyed all that Colorado has to offer... together. Jack is a boxer breed. His full name? Jack Dempsey "The Colorado Boxer". During the last couple of months we have been apart and it has been gut-wrenchingly lonely without him.

I am in the process of making the move from Colorado to live near my father in Hawaii. I grew up in Hawaii and have spent 28 wonderful years in Colorado. But it is time for the "Prodigal Son" to come home. My Dad is getting old and I want to stay close by in case any emergencies arise, but mostly to build new and cherished memories with him.

Over the next couple of months, I will sell all my possessions in Colorado and once again make Hawaii my home. Selling everything will be tough, leaving Colorado will be sad, but my biggest challenge right now is figuring out how to get my dog Jack home with me. The airlines I am traveling on has a new policy that prohibits "snub-nose" breeds from flying. Also in the "snub-nose" category are Shitszues, pugs, bull dogs, chow chows, and lhasa apsos to name a few. Because of their shorter nose they have a harder time adjusting to the cargo pressure at altitude.
I have found a pet relocater, Island Pet Movers, who can get the job done. But it is a huge expense that I was not counting on. They want $1822 for the service. I will also have to drive him almost 700 miles to get him to an approved airport and get a proper air travel kennel for him. On top of that, I have already spent over $1000 with the vet to get him flight-ready. He needed necessary vaccines and blood tests, heart worm check, and a micro chip.

I have never asked anyone for any financial help before, but I am in a tight spot right now. I decided to use GoFundMe.com to request assistance. I am overwhelmed with the generosity of friends and family donating quickly in my time of need. 3 hours into my campaign I have received a few donations totaling $250. Far from where I need to be, but a great start. I am so thankful for the support I am getting.

Jack is a short haired breed and hates the cold of Colorado. He will absolutely love living in Hawaii. He will have one acre of yard and jungle to enjoy. If you would like to help me with my campaign please donate or share my GoFundMe link.
