The recent report entitled "State of Crypto 2023" by Coinbase interviewed around 30,000 people in 20 countries, demonstrating how young people are increasingly interested in cryptocurrencies and how dissatisfied they are with the traditional financial system.
The results, going into specifics, highlight how 73% of young people between 18 and 24 have heard of cryptocurrencies, while 32% already own some, an increase of 5% compared to the previous year.
The reasons behind this interest are different, 38% of young people believe that cryptocurrencies and blockchain represent greater economic opportunities than the traditional financial system.
But that's not all, the most "relevant" data is that 58% of young people believe that cryptocurrencies will replace fiat currencies in the next decade, while among adults between 25 and 34 the percentage is 47%.
By abandoning the old dogma of the "American Dream", young people are challenging and building a new financial future that is more flexible and free from intermediaries tied to the past.
