After the incredible success of BONK, comes the airdrop of another memecoin called WEN, which took place in the last few hours, involving more than 1 million Solana wallets.
The airdrop of the token, as expected, was incredibly successful, mainly due to its memetic nature, attracting the attention of a large and diverse audience.
The airdrop was carried out via the dex Jupiter aggregator which in turn will soon be used to airdrop the native JUP token.
The users who have benefited from this are active Jupiter users, owners of NFTs on the platform and even owners of the Saga smartphone. Each of them was given 643,652 WEN which at the time of writing saw growth of almost 500% in 12 hours.
Meanwhile, Solana's token SOL seems not to have given any particular reaction, contrary to what was expected.
All eyes therefore turned to the next JUP airdrop which will be distributed on the Phantom wallet which has recently been experiencing some problems relating to the "performance"* of the wallet but states that it will aim to guarantee the airdrop without too many problems.
* essentially, the wallet suffered slowdowns and instability due to the high traffic of users who accessed the wallet, the complexity of the airdrop which required Phantom to perform a series of operations in parallel and probably the lack of preparation of the wallet, who did not expect such an influx.
