This is the email I received today and...I'm quite shocked and disappointed.
I have owned this card since around March 2023 and to date I have always used it continuously, appreciating its various advantages, including the 2% cashback and the 1 BNB, necessary to obtain the cashback, earn in the launchpool (for those who don't know, by depositing BNB or other cryptocurrencies in liquidity pools, you get "free" tokens distributed on a daily basis).
In my case therefore the advantage was double.
A few weeks ago, Binance announced to its users that it was no longer possible to deposit Euros (1*).
Initially I thought that Binance would be able to find a solution to this, but apparently I was deeply mistaken because the opposite happened.
Therefore, as you can read in the screenshot, from December 20th users in possession of the Binance Visa Debit Card will no longer be able to use it so it will have to be destroyed.
Yet more bad news for the exchange, which is already facing big problems with the SEC (2*) and recently also in the UK (3*)
What to do?
Honestly, I haven't decided yet, but it's likely that I personally will 100% switch to using the Nexo card I've had for over a year (4*)
For those who still intend to have a similar credit card and do not like using Nexo, I remind you that it is possible to request the Bybit Card (5*) and instead for those who are patient, in the future (a precise release date is not yet known) it will be Kucoin's KuCard also published (nominated by Forbes as the best exchange of 2023)
